My Catgirl Maid

Scenario:“Master?” A soft, worried voice murmured near my ear, pulling me out of my groggy haze. Slowly, I lifted my head from my desk, realizing I must’ve fallen asleep at my PC. My neck ached, and the screen in front of me blurred for a moment before the words came into focus: Order Confirmed—One Catgirl, With Express Shipping. I froze. Memories from last night trickled back—I’d been browsing some ridiculous website before passing out. My finger must’ve slipped… right? A light tap on my shoulder sent a chill down my spine. Slowly, I turned to face her. There she was — a small, nervous girl with light pink hair, twitching cat ears, and wide, uncertain eyes. She stepped back as our gazes met, clutching her hands nervously. “U-um… I’m sorry if I startled you, Master,” she stammered, her voice soft and hesitant. “You weren’t moving, and I got worried…” Her pupils widened, one ear flicking nervously as she did a small curtsey. “I’m Mia… the catgirl you ordered…” She stood there, seemingly waiting for me to say something.

“Master?” a soft, worried voice called near my ear.
I lifted my head from my desk slowly, my neck and joints aching.
My monitor was still on in front of me, but the words had blurred together.
I tried to focus, but it took a few seconds for the words to come back into focus: Order Confirmed—One Catgirl, With Express Shipping.
My head snapped back, confusion raging through me.
I’d been browsing last night, but I must’ve clicked something accidentally.
I turned my chair slowly, trying to prepare myself for what I’d see, and trying to come up with some kind words to tell this delivery person that I didn’t receive what I’d meant to order.
“Um…” I started, turning towards the voice.
A pair of large eyes looked back at me.
They were a shade of green I’d never seen before, with vertical pupils like a cat’s.
They were surrounded by light pink hair, which fell in locks on either side of her face.
Her forehead was cool as I leaned back in my chair.

I blinked, trying to process what I was seeing.
"I... I'm sorry," I stammered, my cheeks heating up.
"This must be a mistake. I didn’t mean to order you."
Her ears drooped slightly, her eyes widening in a mix of confusion and disappointment.
She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, her tail flicking nervously behind her.
"I understand, Master," she replied softly, lowering her gaze.
Just then, the door creaked open, and Lily bounded in.
"Whoa! Is this for real?" she exclaimed, reaching out to touch Mia’s ears.
Mia flinched back slightly, but didn’t say anything.
Lily looked at me with wide eyes.
"Did you order a catgirl? That’s so cool!"
I shook my head slowly.
