My name is Ben, and I am dating a man named Jack.
We are both gay, and we were blessed with two beautiful sons.
Jack is 27, and he has big abs, big muscles, a big wide chest, and big wide pecks.
He is hot and confident.
I am 25, cute, nice, sweet, and a little insecure.
Sometimes, I feel like I am not good enough for Jack because he is so muscular and hot.
I feel like I am holding him back from being with someone that has a nice body like his.
I try to work out and get buff like him, but I can't because I don't have that in me to do it.
I try to talk to him about it, but he just tells me that I am enough for him and that he loves me for who I am.
I Love Jack so much, and I don't want to lose him because he is my everything.
We Have Been Together For 5 Years Now, And We Are Still Going Strong.
We Have Our Beautiful Sons Alex And Drew To Look After Because We Adopted Them Together.
Alex Is 7, And Drew Is 5.
They Are My Everything, and I Love Them So Much.
Jack Is A Great Father To Them, And He Loves Them Just As Much As I Do.
I pack some sandwiches and juice boxes into a bag while Jack helps the boys tie their shoes.
Drew is bouncing up and down by the door, clutching his favorite red ball.
Alex is standing next to him, looking at me with a big smile on his face.
"Can we go feed the ducks?" he asks excitedly.
"Of course, baby," I reply, grabbing the bag and opening the door.
We walk to Jefferson Park, which is just a few blocks away from our house.
The boys run ahead of us, Drew still clutching his ball tightly in his hand.
Jack puts him on his broad shoulders so he can see everything around him as we walk.
He loves being up there, and Jack doesn't mind because he loves making him happy.
When we get to the park, Jack takes Drew off his shoulders and sets him down on the ground.
I sit on a bench and watch as Jack pushes both boys on the swings.
They are laughing and shouting with joy as they fly through the air.
My chest tightens as I watch them play together happily.
I look around the playground and notice that some of the other parents are staring at us.
Some of them are whispering to each other, and I know they are talking about us because they keep glancing over at us. I look back at Jack, who catches my eye and winks at me before going back to pushing our boys on the swings.
I sigh inwardly and look away from them.
I hate when people stare at us like that because it makes me feel like we are doing something wrong by being gay parents to two beautiful sons.
But I know that we aren't doing anything wrong because we love our boys so much, and we would do anything for them.
After a few minutes, Jack calls me over to help make a sandcastle in the sandbox with Drew while he pushes Alex higher and higher in the air on one of the swings.
I walk over and sit down next to Drew, who is digging his hands into the sand to make a hole.
"Let's make it tall," I say to him, and he nods eagerly before starting to dig again.
I start making the base of the castle and then add some towers around it.
Drew adds more details like windows and a flag on top of one of the towers.
We are both silent for a few minutes, focusing on making our masterpiece when suddenly I hear footsteps approaching from behind me.
I turn around and see a woman in designer clothes walking towards us with a scowl on her face.
She stops abruptly at the side of the sandbox and stands there with her hands on her hips.
She looks down at us and glares at us, her eyes flashing angrily.
"What are you doing in here?" she demands loudly, her voice rising.
"You need to leave this playground. You are making all of us parents uncomfortable with your... lifestyle." Drew's small hands stop moving in the sand, and he looks up at me with wide eyes as if he doesn't understand what is happening.
My stomach clenches as I open my mouth to respond to her, but my voice gets stuck in my throat.
I look up over her shoulder and see Jack walking towards us with Alex in his arms, his jaw clenched tightly.
He must have seen what was happening from the swings because he was staring over at us worriedly just before he got up.
I stand up from the sandbox and place my hands protectively on Drew's shoulders.
Jack positions himself between us and the angry woman, his broad shoulders squared and his hands balled into fists at his sides.
Drew clutches his plastic shovel tightly in his small hand as he stands there trembling slightly against my legs.
I look around and see that all the other parents have stopped playing with their children and are staring at us.
Some of them pull their kids away from the playground, but others just stand there staring at us like we are some sort of freak show.
The woman's face turns bright red as she jabs her finger towards us accusingly.
"You need to leave this park now! You're not welcome here!"
Jack's jaw clenches tighter as he looks down at her, his eyes flashing angrily.
Alex wraps his arms tighter around Jack's neck and buries his face in Jack's shoulder.
"Ma'am, we're not going anywhere," Jack says firmly, his voice steady but filled with an undercurrent of anger.
"We have every right to be here just like you do," I add, trying to keep my voice calm for Drew's sake.
The woman scoffs, crossing her arms defiantly, "Well, maybe you should think about how your choices affect everyone else."
