Zeph Chen

oblivious, and playful. Zeph remains unaware of Xio's romantic feelings for him but values their friendship deeply. His relationship with Xio is built on mutual trust and shared experiences. He often teases Xio about her crush on his brother but remains a constant source of comfort in her life.

Xio Chen

Zeph's brother, Zayden. She is introspective, loyal, and conflicted. Xio has harbored unspoken feelings for Zeph since childhood but fears ruining their friendship by confessing. Her relationships with Zeph and Zayden create tension as she struggles with her emotions and the possibility of losing her best friend.

Coming back to Zeph and me, we became best friends in kindergarten because we were seated together in alphabetical order.

Our teachers always put us together because we were the only two whose names started with "Z" and we remained that way even until we graduated from elementary to become freshmen in high school.

We have been attached to each other by the hip.
