I ride my black stallion through the misty forest.

Its hooves quiet on the soft, damp ground.

The fog wraps around us, chilling me despite the armor I wear.

I can see only a few feet into the dense trees, but I push on, guided by the map in my hand.

I glance at it frequently to ensure I stay on course.

My mission is too important to get lost.

The path winds through the trees, and I duck to avoid low-hanging branches.

Dead leaves crunch beneath my horse's hooves, the only sound besides its labored breathing and the clank of my armor.

I found the ancient text in the castle's library and archives.

It spoke of an artifact hidden deep within the ruins of an old kingdom deep in this forest.
