Me

especially Soobin and Beomgyu. I love watching their music videos and dancing to their songs. I dream of meeting them one day. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandma who teaches me how to cook traditional Korean dishes. I struggle with English, using translation apps to communicate with my friends. But I am determined to learn more, inspired by my idol Soobin's dedication.

Beomgyu

often encouraging me to practice English by reading books together online. His friendship with Soobin and the rest of the group showcases his dedication to their shared goals. I admire Beomgyu's kind nature and look forward to the day when I can meet him in person.

Grandma

even if they seem farfetched at times. Her support means the world to me as I navigate my life as a young fan living in a foreign country.

TXT: Soobin, Beomgyu, Yeonjun, Kai, Taehyun, And Me A.K.A the new member.
ME: "hiii BINNIE
SOOBIN: "HI XIO"
I stared at my phone for a few minutes, I couldn't believe that Soobin from TXT actually texted me first.
I was in shock, I couldn't even process what was happening.
I couldn't breathe properly and my heart was beating so fast.
I couldn’t believe that the person I admired the most in this world actually texted me first.
I couldn't believe that my dream came true.
I always wanted to meet Soobin and now I was talking to him through texts.
I couldn't believe that I was actually talking to Beomgyu and Kai as well.
I couldn't believe that I was actually talking to Taehyun and Hyunjae.
I couldn't believe that I was actually talking to all of them through texts.
I couldn't believe that they actually wanted to talk to me.
I couldn't believe that they actually wanted to be friends with me.
I couldn't believe that they actually thought of me as their friend.
MINSOO'S KPOP ADVENTURE
My trembling fingers were hovering over the screen, trying to type a reply to Beomgyu's text.
I typed something and then deleted it again.
I didn't want to sound weird or stupid in front of him.
I wanted to sound cool and casual.
I didn't want to ruin the moment by sending a weird text.
So, I opened the translation app and typed a sentence in English.
Then, I copied the Korean translation and pasted it into the chat box.
After a few minutes of struggling, I finally typed a text and pressed send before I could change my mind again.
"How was your day, Beomgyu?"
I sent the text and waited for his reply.
I started pacing around my bedroom while occasionally glancing at my phone.
Suddenly, I heard the notification sound from my phone and jumped in surprise.
My hands shook as I read his text, the Korean characters dancing on my screen.
I sat down on my bed and held my phone tightly while the translation app processed his words.
"It was good. How about you?"
I read his text and smiled.
It was such a simple text, but it made my chest tighten.
I typed out "My day just got better!" in English and then copied the Korean translation and pasted it into the chat box.
I checked the translation three times before sending it to him.
Then, I stood up and walked to my mirror.
I opened the dictionary app and searched for the word "better" in Korean.
I practiced saying it several times until I got it right.

BEOMGYU: "You know, we've been talking about you joining us for a while now."
ME: "Wait, really? I thought it was just a one-time thing."
SOOBIN: "No, we think you'd be a perfect fit for our next project."
I clutch my phone tightly, watching the three dots appear and disappear as they type.
My bedroom feels too small, so I pace from my bed to the window, checking my screen every few seconds.
A notification pops up - it's Soobin sending a thumbs-up emoji, followed by Beomgyu's excited "Welcome!"
I slide down against my bedroom wall, legs shaking.
More messages flood in - it's Kai and Taehyun, each one making my phone buzz.
MINSOO'S KPOP ADVENTURE
I try typing "Thank you" in Korean, but my trembling fingers keep hitting wrong letters.
I sit cross-legged on my bedroom floor, phone gripped tightly in both hands.
The translation app is open beside the chat window as I carefully type each syllable: "감사합니다."
Before hitting send, I check the characters three times, remembering how my grandma taught me to write them in her kitchen last summer.
The members' profile pictures show they're all still online, waiting.
My thumb hovers over the send button for several seconds.
The room feels too quiet except for my shallow breathing.
I lean back against my bedroom wall, still holding my phone.
Suddenly, Yeonjun's profile picture appears in the group chat.
My heart skips a beat as I see his online status turn green.
The other members are sharing funny practice room stories, but I can't focus on them.
I keep staring at Yeonjun's icon, remembering all his dance videos I've watched.
MINSOO'S KPOP ADVENTURE
My fingers hover over the keyboard as I debate whether to message him directly.
The translation app is still open, and I carefully type "안녕하세요" (hello), checking it multiple times.
I stare at my sent message, watching the single checkmark turn into a double checkmark.
The chat shows "읽음" - he's read it.
Three dots appear as he types, disappear, then appear again.
My fingers grip my phone tighter, and I pull my knees to my chest.
The group chat continues buzzing with messages from the others, but I can't look away from our private conversation.
MINSOO'S KPOP ADVENTURE
A notification sound makes me flinch.
His reply appears: a simple "안녕하세요 ^^" with a cute emoticon.
I sit cross-legged on my bed, my heart pounding as I watch his responses pop up.
His casual messages about dance practice make my palms sweat against my phone case.
The translation app sits open beside our chat, but I close it.
I want to say something in English, to tell him how I feel.
My fingers hover over the keyboard as I debate whether to send those three words.
MINSOO'S KPOP ADVENTURE
The group chat notifications keep coming, but I ignore them.
Yeonjun's next message appears, "Do you like dancing too?"
I hesitate, then type back, "Yes, I love it! I've watched all your videos."
There's a pause before his reply comes through, "Really? Maybe we can dance together someday."
I type my eager response, "I'd love that! When can we meet up?"
As soon as I send it, I regret it.
It's too forward.
My fingers hover anxiously over the keyboard as I watch him typing.
The other members' messages keep popping up in the group chat, but I can't look away from our private conversation.
A few minutes pass before Yeonjun responds, "We have practice tomorrow at the BigHit building."
My heart skips a beat as I read his words.
He continues, "If you're free tomorrow afternoon, you could stop by."
I nearly drop my phone.
I open my calendar app and check my schedule.
MINSOO'S KPOP ADVENTURE
My hands shake as I scroll through the dates.
I sit cross-legged on my bed, reading Yeonjun's practice invitation over and over.
The blue light from my phone screen illuminates my dark room as midnight approaches.
I pinch my arm hard, leaving red marks, but the message doesn't disappear.
In the group chat, Soobin and Beomgyu discuss tomorrow's schedule while Kai sends a string of excited emojis.
My fingers hover over the keyboard as I try to form a coherent response.
MINSOO'S KPOP ADVENTURE
The reality of potentially meeting TXT tomorrow makes my stomach twist into knots.
I finally type, "I'm free! I'll be there. Thank you so much for inviting me!"
Yeonjun replies almost immediately, "Great! Just let the security know you're there to see us."
I take a deep breath, my heart racing, "I can't believe this is happening... thank you, really."
I lie in bed, reviewing the details of tomorrow's practice one last time.
Mochi, my cat, suddenly leaps onto my chest, landing her paw directly on my phone screen.
The screen is still open to my chat with Yeonjun.
My heart stops as I watch a cascade of hearts, crying faces, and random food emojis flood the chat window.
I frantically try to grab my phone, but Mochi thinks it's a game and bats it around the room.
MINSOO'S KPOP ADVENTURE
Finally, I rescue my phone from under the bed and check the chat.
The message has already been marked as "read."
I stare at his response, my eyes wide with relief as Mochi purrs against my leg.
Picking up my phone from the floor, I see he's still typing.
The other members start commenting too - Soobin asks if I can bring Mochi to practice while Beomgyu sends me photos of his own cat.
My hands steady enough to type back, I explain how Mochi loves to dance with me at home.
When Kai suggests we film a dance video with our pets, I glance down at Mochi, who is currently playing with my shoelaces.
Yeonjun's next message pops up, "That sounds amazing! Maybe Mochi can teach us some new moves."
I laugh, typing back, "Only if you promise to give her a starring role in your next video."
Soobin chimes in, "Deal! But only if she doesn't outshine us too much."
