Everyone in this school is brainwashed.
Nobody knows this except me.
I know everything.
Felix knows that I know everything, so he gave me a mind-controlling drug.
But I did not drink it.
I threw it away and pretended to be brainwashed just like everyone else.
I have been pretending for a whole month, but today I finally found the courage to take action.
"Felix."
I said as I walked into his office.
"Everyone is here. The whole school is listening to your speech."
Felix looked up from his papers and smiled.
"Great. Go tell them to wait. I'll be there soon."
I nodded and turned to leave, but then I heard Felix's voice behind me.
"Wait!"
I turned around and saw Felix looking at me, his eyes narrowed slightly.
"What is it?"
I asked.
"I just wanted to remind you that you should take your medicine before you go back to your dorm," he said as he looked at me.
"Oh, right. Of course. Thank you for reminding me."
I said with a smile on my face.
Felix nodded and went back to look at his papers.
I left his office and went back to the auditorium where everyone was waiting for Felix's speech.
Robert and David were already there, sitting in the front row of the empty section.
They were dressed in Felix's uniform, just like all the other students here.

I slipped back through the empty hallways, my footsteps echoing against the polished floors.
The moonlight cast a silver glow on the walls as I made my way to Felix's office.
Outside his door, I pressed my ear against it, listening for any sign of movement.
There was only silence.
I twisted the handle, and it turned smoothly under my grip.
The room was dark, except for the slivers of moonlight that streamed through the venetian blinds.
The filing cabinets loomed in the shadows like sentinels, their metal surfaces reflecting the faint light.
Felix's mahogany desk stood in the center of the room, its surface cluttered with papers and books.
A small lamp on the corner cast a warm glow over the space.
I followed the chain's path behind Felix's desk, my heart pounding in my chest.

And then I saw him—Axel, huddled in the corner of the room, his wrists bound by thick metal cuffs attached to a chain bolted into the wall. His eyes widened as he saw me, and he opened his mouth to speak, but I quickly raised a finger to my lips to signal him to be quiet.
I crept closer to him, trying not to make any noise on the hardwood floor.
As I approached him, I could see that his wrists were raw and bruised from struggling against the restraints.
I reached into my pocket and pulled out the key I had stolen from Felix's desk earlier that night.
My hands trembled as I worked on unlocking Axel's chains, each metallic scrape echoing loudly in the silent room.
Axel whispered urgently, "You shouldn't be here. If Felix finds out, he'll—"
I cut him off, my voice barely above a whisper, "I know the risks, but I can't let him keep you here any longer."
His eyes softened with gratitude, and he replied, "Then you need to know—there's more to this than just the school. Felix is planning something much bigger."

Felix had taken him here after he escaped from Felix's office.
Axel was lying on the bed, still chained, while Felix cuddled him.
It was a strange sight to see them like that, especially since they used to be friends.
I approached them slowly, not wanting to startle them.
"Hey," I said softly.
Felix looked up at me and smiled.
"Hey there, friend. What brings you here?"
I glanced at Axel, who was looking at me with a mixture of fear and confusion in his eyes.
"Why is he here?" I asked Felix.
Felix shrugged.
"He wanted to come with me."

I looked back at Axel, who shook his head slightly.
"No, I didn't," he whispered.
Felix's grip on Axel tightened, and he glared at him.
"Don't lie," he said through gritted teeth.
Axel flinched, but he didn't say anything else. I took a step closer to the bed, my heart pounding in my chest.
"Felix, what's going on?" "Nothing," Felix said innocently.
"Just hanging out with my friend."
I looked at Axel again, and I could see the fear in his eyes.
He was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't figure out what it was. "You know what? I think I'll join you," I said as I sat down on the edge of the bed next to Axel.
Felix looked at me suspiciously, but he didn't say anything.
I leaned over and whispered in Axel's ear, "Are you okay?"
Axel nodded slightly, his eyes still fixed on Felix.
"I'm fine," he whispered back.
"But you need to get out of here. He's not what you think he is."
I glanced at Felix, who was watching us closely.
"What do you mean?" "He's not just controlling the school," Axel whispered urgently.
"He has bigger plans. And if you don't stop him, he'll destroy everything." I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized what Axel was saying.
Felix wasn't just some crazy person who wanted to control a school; he had something much more sinister planned. "Don't listen to him," Felix said suddenly, his voice cold and menacing.
"He's just trying to confuse you."
I looked up at Felix, who was staring at me intently.
I met Felix's gaze, trying to keep my voice steady.
"Then why is he chained up, Felix? Friends don't do that."
Felix's smile faltered, and for a moment, a flicker of something dark passed over his eyes.

I sat down on the bed beside Axel, my eyes locked on Felix.
I could feel Axel's body tense beside me, but I didn't move.
Felix's grip on Axel tightened, and he leaned in closer to him.
"Take another dose of the drug and leave," Felix whispered, his voice low and dangerous.
I hesitated for a moment, then nodded slowly.
"Okay, Felix. I'll go."
I stood up and walked over to the table where the drug was sitting.
As I reached for it, I glanced back at Axel, who was watching me with wide eyes.
I pretended to take the drug, then turned around and walked towards the door.
But just as I was about to leave, Felix spoke again.
"Don't think about trying anything stupid," he said, his voice dripping with menace.

"I have everything under control here."
I turned around and looked at him, my heart pounding in my chest.
"I know you do," I said quietly.
"But that doesn't mean I have to like it."
Felix's eyes narrowed, but he didn't say anything else.
I turned and left the room, closing the door behind me. "Finally," Felix whispered as he cuddled Axel more tightly against him.
"Now we can be alone together."
Axel's eyes met mine across the room, filled with silent urgency.
I pretended to reach for the drug on the table, but instead of taking it, I subtly shook my head at Axel.
He understood what I meant - I wasn't going to leave him here alone with Felix.
Felix seemed oblivious to our exchange; his attention was completely focused on Axel now that he had finally gotten rid of me.
He began to whisper softly into Axel's ear, telling him how much he loved him and how they were meant to be together forever.
Axel closed his eyes tightly, his face pale with fear and disgust.
I knew that I needed to act fast if we were going to get out of this situation alive. I slowly stood up from the bed, trying not to draw Felix's attention away from Axel.
He was still whispering sweet nothings into Axel's ear, completely absorbed in his own twisted fantasy world.
