Hey guys it's Emily!
Welcome back to my channel!
Today I'm unboxing a bunch of new products that just came in the mail.
I'm so excited because there are a few things in here that I've been wanting to try for a while now.
So let's get started!
First up we have this new eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay.
It's called the "Naked Heat" palette and it looks gorgeous!
It's got 12 different shades that range from a light cream to a dark almost black brown.
I've heard great things about this palette so I'm excited to try it out.
Next up we have some new lipsticks from Kylie Cosmetics.
I've been wanting to try these out for a while now but I've never gotten around to ordering them.
Thanks for sending them over Kylie!
Now let's see what else we have in here.
Oh, oh!
A makeup brush cleaner!
I've been using baby shampoo to clean my brushes for a while now, so it'll be nice to have something that's actually meant for the job.
Thanks for sending this over BeautyBlender!
You guys know how much I love trying out new skincare products so I'm super excited to see what we have in here.
Oh!
Wait a minute...
What's this?
My eyes widened as I pulled out a large box from Drunk Elephant.
I had no idea that they were sending me anything, let alone a whole skincare set!
My heart started racing with excitement as I ripped open the box and pulled out the products.
"Wow, this is incredible!"
I squealed to my viewers.
Sarah, who was watching off-camera, smiled and nodded in agreement.
Inside the box there were four different products: a cleanser, a moisturizer, an eye cream and a serum.
All of the bottles and jars were bright white with black writing on them and they looked so fancy.
I held up each product and described it to my viewers.
The first product is their "Beste No. 9" Jelly Cleanser.
It's got all natural ingredients and is meant to be gentle on your skin while still removing dirt and impurities.
Next up we have their "Lala Retro" Whipped Cream moisturizer.
This one also has all natural ingredients and is meant to be super hydrating.
I've heard great things about this moisturizer so I'm excited to try it out.
The third product is their "Shaba Complex" Eye Serum.
I picked up the small bottle and examined it.
It was a clear liquid with a few drops of gold oil suspended in it.
I unscrewed the top and dipped my finger into the bottle, scooping out a small amount of the serum.
I rubbed it between my fingers for a second before applying it under my eyes.
As soon as I applied it I felt a cooling sensation on my skin.
It was so refreshing!
I leaned in closer to the camera so that my viewers could see the effect.
"Check this out guys," I said.
"It's only been on for a few seconds but you can already see how much smoother and tighter my skin looks. And look at how much less puffy my eyes are!"
Sarah nodded in agreement off-camera.
"That does look amazing," she said.
"I can already see a difference."
I smiled and continued to apply the rest of the products.
The last one was their "Virgin Marula" Luxury Facial Oil.
It was a thick oil that was meant to be applied after your moisturizer to lock in all of the hydration and nutrients.
I rubbed it into my skin and then turned back to the camera.
"And that's it for today's video," I said.
"Thanks so much for watching and I'll see you guys in my next one!"
I blew a kiss to the camera and then turned it off.
As soon as the camera was off I let out a squeal of excitement.
I couldn't believe that Drunk Elephant had sent me all of these amazing products!
I couldn't wait to try them all out.
At first, everything seemed normal.
My skin felt smooth and hydrated and I didn't notice any irritation at all.
But as the minutes ticked by, I started to feel my skin tingling.
At first, it was just a slight sensation but it quickly grew until my skin felt like it was on fire.
I tried to brush off the feeling, thinking that maybe I was just being paranoid, but as the burning sensation grew I knew that something was seriously wrong.
Panic started to set in as I realized that I must be having an allergic reaction to one of the products.
I jumped up out of my chair and ran into the bathroom, Sarah following right behind me.
"What's wrong?" she asked as she watched me frantically splashing cold water on my face and neck.
"I don't know," I said, trying to catch my breath.
"My skin is on fire, and I can't make it stop!" I gasped, my voice trembling with fear.
Sarah grabbed her phone, ready to call for help, when suddenly we heard a loud knock at the door.
We both froze, exchanging worried glances, as the knocking grew more insistent and a muffled voice called out, "Emily, open up! It's urgent!"
I hesitated for a second, wondering who could be at the door, but Sarah urged me to open it.
"Maybe it's someone from Drunk Elephant," she said.
"They could have realized that they sent you a bad product and are here to fix it."
I nodded and slowly opened the door.
On the other side was Mark Collins, his face twisted with concern and urgency.
He was holding up a small vial of clear liquid.
"Emily, thank God I got here in time," he said, pushing past me and into my apartment.
I stared at him in confusion, unsure of what he was doing there or how he knew what was happening.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"I'm here to help you," he said, holding up the vial again.
"This is an antidote. It should reverse the effects of whatever is happening to your skin."
I narrowed my eyes suspiciously.
"How did you know what was happening to me? And why do you have an antidote?"
Mark sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"I got a tip that one of the products you were using might be bad," he said.
"It's not safe to talk about this out here. Let's go into your bathroom."
I hesitated, glancing at Sarah, who nodded for me to follow him.
As we stepped into the bathroom, Mark closed the door behind us and lowered his voice.
"There's more going on here than just a skincare mishap," he whispered, his eyes darting nervously towards the door.
"What do you mean?"
I asked, my brow furrowing in confusion.
Mark held out the vial again.
"This is an antidote for whatever is happening to your skin," he said.
"It's not going to hurt you, I promise. But you need to take it now before it's too late."
I hesitated, unsure of what to do.
I wanted to believe that Mark was telling the truth and that this antidote would make everything better, but at the same time I had no idea who he really was or what his true motives were.
"Take it," he urged again.
"It's the only way."
I looked up at him and saw the desperation in his eyes.
He seemed genuinely concerned for me, and I couldn't imagine why he would be here if he didn't want to help me.
Slowly, I reached out and took the vial from him.
I unscrewed the top and dipped my finger into the liquid inside, rubbing it under my eyes where the burning sensation was worst.
As soon as I applied it, I felt a wave of cooling wash over my skin, immediately subsiding the burning sensation.
I let out a sigh of relief and then applied more of the serum to my face.
Sarah was still shaken by the whole ordeal, and she decided to clean up the bathroom a bit to take her mind off of things.
She started by moving a pile of towels that were stacked haphazardly under the sink.
As she lifted them up, an envelope slipped out from underneath and fluttered to the floor.
She picked it up and examined it.
It was a plain white envelope with no writing on it at all.
It was slightly torn and worn, as if it had been sat under the sink for a long time.
Sarah's curiosity was piqued as she wondered who could have put an envelope under my sink and what could be inside of it.
She turned it over in her hands, studying it carefully, but there were no clues as to what it might contain.
Finally, she decided to open it up and see for herself.
She carefully tore at the seam and then pulled out the contents: a single lottery ticket.
Her eyes widened as she stared at the ticket in confusion.
Why would someone buy a lottery ticket and then hide it under my sink?
And who had even bought it?
I didn't play the lottery, and I was certain that Sarah didn't either.
The numbers on the ticket matched last night's winning draw.
