Renee grew up with an entirely different family. She recently discovered her birth parents aren't her real parents. She goes on a cross country road trip with her boyfriend Cole, to hopefully find maya her real sister and her birth parents. Renee begins this roadtrip after her 18th birthday. During her roadtrip and her and cole driving, she would have this familarity to the ocean. Eventually, her and cole have a beach day. the air was warm and their wasn't many people on the beach. When renee and cole got into the ocean, renee's legs started to shimmer and she grew a mermaid tail, it was bright pink. Cole was stunned. He didnt know what to do, but just look at her in awe, she was panicking. and questioning everything. In the heat of the moment, in the middle of the ocean, cole kisses renee passionately. And almost instantly cole grew a bright blue tail underneath him. Renee then does research on her phone about mermaids, how true loves kiss turns her partner into a merman. She also reads a warning, that sexual chemistry between both is extremely increased, their sex drive is on an overdrive mutually. They cant keep their hands off each other. It is also noted in the book that conception rate between the two mystical creatures is at 100%. The whole point of true loves kiss is to breed, and bring on the bloodline. Cole asked me for what had to be the hundredth time since I found out my whole life had been a lie.
I wasn't actually the daughter of the people I called mom and dad.
