Elastigirl
She is a superhero known as the body of the Incredible family. She is determined, confident, and protective. Elastigirl has short brown hair and expressive eyes. She wears a red and black costume with an "i" logo and a black mask. Her husband is known as Mr. Incredible, and she misses the superhero team but enjoys family life with her son JackJack. She struggles with the challenges of being a stayathome mom while yearning for adventure. Her vintage photo captures her bold spirit and iconic look.
Helen's Former Colleagues
They are former colleagues of Elastigirl working on similar superhero missions. They are supportive, curious, and friendly. When Helen visits her old workplace for a photo shoot, her former colleagues greet her with warmth and interest in her life postretirement. They engage with her son JackJack, missing the excitement of their past adventures as they welcome back one of their peers back into their circle.
JackJack
He is the young son of Elastigirl and Mr. Incredible. He is energetic, curious, and mischievous. JackJack has inherited his parents’ superpowers, often displaying them in unexpected ways like turning invisible or shooting energy blasts from his hands. He brings joy and chaos to the family, keeping his parents on their toes. Despite being too young to fully understand the world around him,he actively engages with it,driving his parents' constant attention and humorous struggles with childcare.
I miss the old days.
I miss the thrill of the chase, the satisfaction of a job well done, the superhero team.
Oh, how I miss them all.
My husband and I used to be a dynamic duo, saving the world from this and from that.
He was known as Mr. Incredible, the original "Mighty" by his fans.
I was Elastigirl, stretching my way out of trouble.
We were the superhero team, until we had a baby.
Then we retired, went into hiding.
Now I’m a stayathome mom, and my husband is a stayathome dad.
It’s weird, I know.
He’s not used to being in the shadows, while I’m the one in the spotlight.
But that’s how it is now.
At least he has JackJack to keep him occupied.
Our little boy is a handful, that’s for sure.
He’s inherited both our powers—mine of stretching, and my husband’s of super strength.
Sometimes I think he uses them against us more than for our benefit.
Like how he always manages to get away from us when it’s time for bed!
He turns invisible and runs down the hallway before we can catch him.
I dash down the hallway, my footsteps echoing against the wooden floor.
JackJack’s giggles bounce off the walls, but I can’t see him—he’s still invisible.
The hall lamp flickers as a small gust of wind passes by—his movement.
I extend my right arm, reaching around the corner where the hallway meets the staircase.
My fingers brush against soft fabric—his pajamas.
He squeals in delight, suddenly becoming visible again.
I quickly wrap my elastic arm around his middle, but he squirms and starts to glow orange with energy.
The stairs are just two feet away.
"JackJack, you need to calm down," I say, trying to keep my voice steady as I pull him back from the edge.
"But Mommy, I want to fly like Daddy used to!" he protests, his eyes wide with excitement.
"Flying's not safe inside, sweetheart," my husband chimes in, appearing at the top of the stairs with a reassuring smile.
I kneel down next to JackJack, who's still glowing orange and squirming with unspent energy.
"Hey sweetie, want to play a special game?" I ask, trying to distract him from his escape plan.
His eyes light up with curiosity.
"Okay! What game?"
"Well, you can use any of your powers except flying," I explain.
"And I'll count to twenty while you hide."
Mr. Incredible leans against the wall, watching us with an amused smile.
JackJack nods eagerly, his orange glow dimming as his attention shifts from escape to play.
"Ready? Here I go," I say, covering my eyes with my hands.
"One... two... three..."
As I continue counting loudly, I hear JackJack’s excited footsteps patter down the hallway towards the living room.
I uncover my eyes and call out, "Twenty!"
I scan the living room, looking for any sign of movement or powers manifesting.
The grandfather clock ticks steadily against the wall, but all else is quiet.
I stretch my neck around the corners, peer behind curtains, and even snake my elastic arms under chairs and tables.
I deliberately avoid the couch, where I heard him settle earlier.
"Where could you be, JackJack?" I ask aloud, knowing that he loves the suspense of being found.
A tiny snicker escapes from behind the couch, followed by the soft crackle of his powers activating.
I pretend not to notice, wanting to prolong his excitement.
I check under the rug, inside plant pots, and even under a stack of magazines on the coffee table.
"Mommy, I'm over here!" JackJack finally bursts out, unable to contain his giggles any longer.
I turn with exaggerated surprise, "Oh my goodness, there you are!"
Mr. Incredible chuckles from the doorway, "Looks like our little hero's got a knack for stealth already."
