"Jerry, I need to talk to you."
I was sitting in my office when I heard the voice behind me.
I turned around and saw Priscilla Presley, Elvisās wife, walking in.
It was 1970 and I had just received a call from Elvis.
He was telling me that he wanted to go back out on tour, and that he wanted me to start making the arrangements.
Elvis had been friends with me since 1954, and I had been working with him since 1960.
I had taken care of getting all of the arrangements made for his tours, and I was looking forward to doing it again.
I stood up and walked over to Priscilla.
"Hello Priscilla, what brings you here?"
I asked.
"I was hoping that you could help me with something," she said.
"I need to get some things from my apartment, but I donāt want to go there alone. I was hoping that you could go with me."
I knew that this was more than just wanting company.
Priscilla was always nervous when Elvis wasnāt with her.
She was worried that someone would try to take pictures of her or bother her.
She didnāt want to go to her apartment alone because she knew that there would be reporters waiting for her outside.
I could understand her concerns, so I agreed to go with her.
