I was walking my dog one evening, just enjoying the fresh air and the sights and sounds of nature, when I saw her.
She was walking toward me on the same path, but she was heading in the opposite direction.
I smiled and nodded as we passed each other, but then I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around.
Not only was she ridiculously gorgeous, but she was also heading straight for my house.
My smile faltered as I turned back around and kept walking my dog.
I didn't want to look like I was following her, even though that's exactly what I did.
I wanted to know what she was doing at my house.
As it turned out, she lived right next door.
I hadn't met her before, because she was new in the neighborhood.
I'd been meaning to welcome her myself, but now I felt like a stalker.
