Authorities have not said what caused Clay to be mistakenly released. An investigation is underway.
Clay was arrested in January 2023, the Baton Rouge Police Department said, after he was accused of fatally shooting 37-year-old Andre Duncan following an argument in December 2022.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office subsequently said Davis is armed and dangerous, according to WAFB.

I left the precinct, my mind reeling with Sarah's revelation.
The café was just a short walk away, and I navigated the bustling streets of Houston, weaving through the morning crowd.

I slid into the seat opposite her, leaning in close.
