I jogged over to the sideline and pulled off my mask, gasping for air and trying to ignore the stitch in my side.
Iād been playing football since I was a kid, but I still wasnāt used to running around in this altitude.
The air was too thin, and it always left me breathless.
But I refused to let it keep me from playing the best game I could.
"Good job, Taulant," one of the coaches called as I ran past.
"Keep up the good work!"
I nodded and continued over to the bench.
There were already a few guys sitting there, drinking water and eating energy bars.
I grabbed a bottle of water and uncapped it, guzzling down half of it before I even sat down.
The other guys on the team looked up at me, nodded in greeting, but then went back to their conversations.
