I was having the time of my life.
I had just turned twenty two, graduated top of my class with a degree in business, had a jealous boyfriend who worshipped the ground I walked on and was moving to the city with my two best friends.
What more could a girl ask for?
We had just moved into our new apartment and were having a house warming party that night.
All our friends were coming and I was excited to show off our new place.
I was in the kitchen making appetizers when my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey it's me, what's up?"
It was my boyfriend Michael, we had been together for almost four years and he was the love of my life.
"Not much just getting ready for the party tonight, where are you?"
"I'm running a little late, I'm still at the gym, but I'll be there soon. Love you."
"Love you too, see you soon."
As I hung up the phone I heard the doorbell ring letting me know that our guests had started arriving.
I quickly finished making the appetizers and headed out to the living room to greet everyone.
Everyone was having a great time, telling jokes, drinking and having fun.
My best friends Sarah and Mark were by my side as always.
We had known each other since high school and were inseparable.
