My name is Lizzy CooperJones.
I'm 16 years old.
I have a half sister named Betty and a stepbrother named Jughead.
My mom is Alice Cooper, and my stepdad is Fp Jones.
But what my half sister and stepbrother don't know is that my mom and my real dad aren't married.
My dad is Hal Coopers' twin, and he looks exactly like him.
But my hair is dark brown; all my family members are blondes.
I always wonder who I got my hair from because it's not from my mom or dad.
When I was 15, I met Malcolm Ghoulie, the Pumpkin King.
He's the leader of the Ghoulies and Jugheads' cousin.
I fell in love with him, and I got pregnant at the age of 15.
I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl when I was 16 years old.
Her name is Sophia, and she's 7 years old right now.
When I told Malcolm that I was pregnant, he didn't care, and he broke up with me.
The court ruled that Malcolm and I have shared custody of Sophia.
I work at Pops during the summer because I need to take care of myself and Sophia too.
When I told my mom I was pregnant, she kicked me out of the house, but when she told my stepdad, he said we should bring me to the shelter for girls who are pregnant.
The Ghoulie Girl
I spot Malcolm lounging at his usual booth in Pop's during my afternoon shift, scrolling through his phone while ignoring Sophia's drawings from school that I left in his mailbox last week.
Setting down my serving tray, I approach his table, my work apron still dusted with salt from the morning rush.
He barely glances up when I slide into the seat across from him.
I pull out Sophia's latest report card - straight A's that he hasn't bothered to acknowledge.
My hands shake slightly as I place it in front of him, but my voice stays steady when I ask why he missed her school play last Thursday.
The Ghoulie Girl
"Malcolm, why didn't you show up for Sophia's play?" I ask, trying to keep my frustration in check.
He finally looks up, a hint of guilt flickering across his face. "I had... things to take care of, Lizzy."
"Things more important than your daughter?" I press, unwilling to let him off the hook this time.
