The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb

Scenario:Jesus Christ has revealed the mind of the Father to mankind through his teachings as revealed in the Scriptures. What is revealed is enough for anyone who is truly interested and searching to find out that God truly loves mankind. And the Father has sent out invitations inviting many to partake in the wedding banquet He has prepared for those invited to the marriage feast of His Son. This invitation is likened to a marriage feast invite for guests to come attend the banquet a certain king planned for his son. (Matthew 22:2 - 12). The scope of the initial invitation was limited but was extended to as many as are willing and interested, to come partake of this banquet. The invitation was extended to all because of the lack of interest of the former invitees. They actually made light of the whole thing and would not budge even when the king sent out several of his servants to inform the invited guests that everything was now ready. They still would not go to the feast and so the king thought to himself, 'if I send my son, they will respect him', but the king was wrong. They treated his son harshly, and went their different ways. Some others even went as far as laying hands on the young man and killing him. The king was so angry that he ordered their prosecution and execution, and then opened the gate for everyone to come in but not without a wedding garment. The garment is symbolic of the righteousness of the saints for man's righteousness is like filthy rags before him. All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. Isaiah 64: 6. Everyone that came to the marriage feast was expected to put on a wedding garment (provided by the king), but one of the guest who was admitted in unfortunately was found without one. As the king came to check his guest in the hall, he found one without a garment and He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ (Matthew 22: 12). Jesus Christ said he came to save that which was lost, not those who are perfect or have no need for salvation. All we have gone astray and come short of God's glory (Roman 3: 23). If we hadn't come short of God’s glory, there would be no need for Christ coming. One of the purpose of Christ coming therefore is to restore us back to glory. The man found without the garment didn't think he needed the garment provided by the King, for this he was cast out where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. I find it hard to understand why we would not just put on the righteousness that comes by faith? We don't have to trust in our own works but rather trust in the finished work of Christ - if we do, He is now our righteousness, and His garment covers us completely and qualifies us to stand before the King. This garment which is the righteousness of God, worn on us by faith in Jesus is received as we profess our faith in Him. When we profess Jesus as Lord over our lives we are born of His Spirit and are now members of God's Kingdom, because they that are born of God’s Spirit are spirits and joint heirs with Christ. He takes away our sins and wear us His righteousness - the LORD my righteousness. When we are properly clothed we won't be found wanting and can come into the Presence of the LORD.

This story is cues from the book of Matthew 22:2 - 12.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
I walk through the palace gates, my heart filled with both humility and gratitude.
The servant who had invited me to this grand occasion leads me through a series of corridors, finally stopping at a large wooden door.
He pushes it open, revealing a private chamber filled with rows of garments.
Each one is pristine white, shimmering in the soft light that filters through the windows.
"This is for you," the servant says with a gentle smile.
"Choose one that fits you well."
My hands tremble slightly as I reach out to touch the delicate fabric.
This is not just any garment; it represents the Father's righteousness covering my unworthiness.
I select one and hold it against myself, feeling its weightlessness.
The servant nods in approval and gestures toward a corner of the room where there is a polished bronze mirror.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
"Please, change into your new garment," he says softly.
I turn away from him and remove my travel-stained robes, letting them fall to the marble floor.
The new garment settles over my shoulders with surprising lightness, as if it were made for me alone.
I turn back to face the mirror, barely recognizing the reflection that stares back at me. "You look radiant," the servant comments, his eyes filled with genuine delight.
"Now, let us proceed to the great hall where music and laughter fill the air."
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
He leads me toward a set of golden doors that are slightly ajar.
The sounds of joy and celebration spill out into the corridor, enticing me to step forward.
I pause at the threshold as the servant adjusts my garment one final time, ensuring that every fold is in place.
Through the partially opened doors, I catch glimpses of long tables laden with delicacies and crystal chandeliers casting a warm glow.
The servant steps back and nods in approval at my attire.
He reaches for the ornate handles of the massive golden doors, and with a gentle push, they creak open, revealing the full splendor of the celebration.
Crystal chandeliers dangle from the high ceilings, casting a kaleidoscope of colors across the polished marble floor.
Marble columns stand tall, their intricate carvings reflecting the craftsmanship of skilled artisans.
Other guests in their white garments turn to look as we enter, some offering smiles of welcome while others continue their animated conversations.
The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of exotic flowers and the soft strains of music drifting from a string quartet positioned near the far end of the hall. My sandaled feet move forward across the cool floor, drawn by the warmth and light radiating from within the celebration.
The servant leads me to an empty chair at a table near the center of the hall, where others are already seated.
They greet me with friendly nods and inviting smiles as I take my place among them.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
The servant bows slightly before turning to leave, his duties fulfilled for now.
I notice a subtle shift in the atmosphere as conversations begin to quiet.
The string quartet's music softens to a gentle whisper.
Servants move with increased purpose, straightening tablecloths and adjusting place settings with precise movements.
My fellow guests sit straighter in their chairs, adjusting their pristine white garments.
The head servant appears at the grand entrance, his posture formal and dignified.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
He raises his staff, tapping it three times against the marble floor.
The sharp sounds echo through the hall.
"His Majesty the King approaches," he announces in a clear, resonant voice.
The grand doors swing open, revealing the King's regal presence.
His golden crown catches the light of the chandeliers, casting a warm glow across his features.
He moves with deliberate steps, his gaze sweeping over the guests as he makes his way through the hall.
I remain bowed, my head lowered in respect as the King passes by each table.
His footsteps echo on the marble floor, accompanied by the soft rustle of his garments.
I can feel his eyes upon me, taking in the white garment that adorns my body.
The silk fabric rustles softly as I hold my position, aware of the profound silence that fills the hall.
Around me, other guests maintain their deep bows, creating a sea of white-robed figures.
The King's footsteps continue to echo on the marble floor as he approaches my table.
Each step is deliberate and measured, filled with purpose.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
I remain bowed as the King continues his inspection, his presence commanding yet merciful.
Through my lowered eyes, I catch glimpses of his ornate robes brushing against the marble floor beside my table.
The air is heavy with anticipation and reverence as he draws closer.
Suddenly, the King's footsteps cease, and an expectant hush falls over the hall.
His shadow falls across my white garment as he pauses behind my chair.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
I can feel his gaze upon me, burning into my very soul.
Yet, despite the intensity of his scrutiny, I sense no condemnation or judgment in his eyes—only a father's loving examination of his child.
The other guests hold their breath, frozen in their bows, as the King's hand comes to rest gently on my shoulder.
As the King's hand remains on my shoulder, a gentle warmth begins at the point of contact.
The sensation intensifies, spreading down my arms and through my chest like streams of golden light.
My breathing deepens as this divine energy courses through every limb, making my white garment seem to glow from within.
Other guests remain bowed, unaware of this intimate moment between the King and me.
The energy grows stronger, filling me with a power that feels both overwhelming and natural, like coming alive for the first time.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
When the sensation reaches my fingertips, they tingle with newfound strength.
I slowly lift my head, meeting his eyes that hold a depth of understanding and kindness. As I looked up I marvelled at the awe inspiring aura all around him. His eyes were like fire, and his hair like pure wool. The train of his garment filled the hall and you simply find yourself bowing in humble adoration to the greatness of his majesty.
Each guest he treated exactly thesame. In a moment he had gone almost through the hall.
I watch as the King continues his inspection, moving gracefully between tables.
His presence commands reverence as he examines each guest's garment with careful attention.
At the far corner of the hall, he suddenly halts before a young man whose dark, everyday clothes stand in stark contrast to the sea of white robes.
The hall grows deathly quiet.
The King's face, previously warm and welcoming, turns grave.
He raises his hand, gesturing for the young man to rise.
The guest slowly stands, head down, shoulders tense.
I watch as the King addresses the improperly dressed guest, his voice firm but tinged with sadness.
‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The King asked.
The young man's face drains of color as he stands before the King, mouth opening and closing without forming words.
His clothes appear increasingly shabby under the bright chandeliers, while everyone else's white garments shimmer in contrast.
The man's eyes dart around desperately, perhaps searching for an escape.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
But royal guards now flank the exits, their stern expressions discouraging any attempt to flee.
The man's hands tremble as he tugs at his dull coat, finally understanding the magnitude of his error.
I watch in solemn silence as the King's command the gaurds to cast him out.
Two guards immediately move forward, their white uniforms stark against the man's dark clothes.
The man struggles, trying to break free, but their grip is firm.
His feet scrape against the marble floor as they drag him toward the exit.
His protests echo off the columns, growing fainter as they approach the grand doors.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
The other guests remain perfectly still in their white garments, heads bowed.
Through the closing doors, I hear his final desperate cry fade into the darkness beyond.
I stand motionless at my table, the echo of the slamming doors still reverberating through the silent hall.
The white-robed guests around me remain frozen, heads bowed, as we process what we've just witnessed.
A servant's silver tray slips slightly in their hand, and the tiny clink sounds thunderous in the quiet.
Through the thick wooden doors, we hear the man's muffled cries growing fainter until they fade into nothingness.
The darkness beyond the windows seems to deepen, and a cold draft sneaks under the door.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
When a guest accidentally drops her fork, the metallic clatter makes several people flinch.
The King turns to his advisor, his voice low but resolute.
Isaiah 43:25 NLT"I-yes, I alone-will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.
I watch the King return to his throne at the head of the banquet hall, his expression a mix of sternness and sorrow.
He raises his hand, commanding attention.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
Suddenly, a starry sky stretches out before us.
Gasps echo through the hall as a magnificent city descends from the heavens, its walls shimmering like pearl.
The city's foundations are adorned with precious stones that catch the divine light.
The guests rise from their seats, their white garments glowing in the ethereal illumination.
They gaze upward in awe, their faces reflecting a mix of wonder and reverence.
The King stands from his throne, his arms outstretched in welcome.
As the city settles into view, the marble floor beneath our feet transforms into crystal-clear gold.
I feel tears of joy streaming down my face as I hear the King's voice resonate through the hall once more.
"Behold, the New Jerusalem," the King declares, his voice like seven thunders joined as one.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
The sound of his voice shakes the foundations of the hall, causing the white robes of the guests to ripple as if blown by a divine wind.
The words echo through my body, resonating deep within my soul.
As the voice fades, the guests fall to their knees, overwhelmed by the majesty before them.
The King's voice echoes through the hall once more, his words reverberating in our hearts.
"God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever."
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
I stand transfixed, unable to move or speak as a powerful voice resonates from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."
The sound reverberates through every cell of my body, causing the golden floor beneath my feet to vibrate.
The King raises both hands toward the city descending from above, and suddenly, brilliant light streams from his form.
His royal robes shimmer and dissolve into pure radiance, his crown melting into the light.
The other guests and I shield our eyes, our white garments reflecting the intensity of the glow.
Through the light, I see the walls of the banquet hall dissolving, merging seamlessly with the crystalline structures of New Jerusalem.
The boundaries between heaven and earth fade away as the King's presence expands to fill all space.
He steps forward, each footfall releasing waves of light that ripple through the air.
His voice echoes once more, its power reverberating in every corner of existence. "Behold, I make all things new," he declares.
The woman turns to the man beside her, her voice filled with awe.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
"Is this the beginning of eternity?" she asks, her eyes wide with wonder.
The man nods slowly, his voice barely a whisper. "I believe it is," he replies, "and we are part of its first breath."
I watch as the King takes his seat on the crystal throne, his form radiating pure light.
He gestures to a scribe who stood watching, and the scribe quickly produces a scroll and pen.
The King's voice resonates through all eternity, his words filled with authority.
"Write, for these words are faithful and true," he commands.
The scribe's hand moves swiftly across the parchment as the King continues to speak.
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end," he declares.
"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely."
As the King speaks, I watch in awe as crystal-clear water begins flowing from beneath his throne.
It carves a path through the golden floor, creating a river that stretches across the street.
The pure river splits the hall in two, its waters sparkling with divine light.
As it flows, it waters the trees along both banks.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
The scribe, who had recorded all these wrote as he heard and saw.
His quill moves swiftly across the scroll as he records the King's words.
"And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him," one of the angels who serve the King thundered.
The scribe's hand moves quickly, capturing every word.
"And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever."
As the messager of the King spoke, the scribe continues to write.
"And he said unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand," the messenger continues.
"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still."
The scribe's hand trembles slightly as he writes these words.
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
The Wedding Feast Of The Lamb
They are stark and unyielding, leaving no room for doubt or uncertainty. "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be," the King declares.
The scribe's quill pauses for a moment before continuing to write.
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. THE END.
