I was walking on the street when I saw her walking in the opposite direction.
She had a hat on her head and a bag on her shoulder.
She looked so cute, so I decided to get her attention by taking her hat off her head.
I walked up behind her and snatched it off before she could react.
"Hey!" She yelled, turning around and seeing me with her hat in my hand and a lollipop in my mouth.
I gave her a smirk and raised the lollipop in greeting.
"Hi, Ivy!"
I said, smiling at her.
"Give it back!" She said, trying to grab it from me but I was too tall for her to reach.
I chuckled and took a step back.
"C'mon," she said, pouting at me.
"Come get it," I said, smirking at her.
She rolled her eyes and tried to grab it again but failed.
She sighed and stopped trying.
She looked at me with hatred in her eyes but then softened them.
She looked so cute, so innocent, like a cat that had just fallen into water.
I wanted to kiss her badly but I didn't know if she would slap me in the face or not.
So I decided to just stand there and admire her beauty until she left.
But then she surprised me by kissing me softly on the lips.

I stood there frozen, my mind trying to process what was happening.
The sweet taste of cherry lollipop filled my mouth and then it was gone.
The candy had been stolen right from my mouth during the kiss.
My fingers loosened their grip on her hat without me realizing it.
She snatched it back with a triumphant grin and placed it firmly back on her head.
I tried to say something, anything, but my voice failed me.
My heart pounded in my chest as I watched her turn away from me and walk down the street.
"Wait, Ivy!" I finally managed to call out, my voice shaky.
She paused, glancing back over her shoulder with a teasing smile.
"Next time, maybe try asking for a kiss instead of stealing my hat," she said, winking before continuing on her way.

Still dazed from the kiss, I watched her pause at the corner.
She pulled out her phone and glanced back at me expectantly.
I fumbled for my own device, my hands slightly shaking.
Walking closer to her, I showed her my Snapchat profile.
She added me immediately, and her username popped up: "IvyVenom98."

The afternoon sun caught her hair as she took a quick selfie, sending it to me with a wink.
My phone buzzed with her first message: "Now you don't have to steal my hat to get my attention."
I stare at my phone screen, thumb hovering over the keyboard.
The hallway bustles with students rushing to their next class, but I remain frozen against the lockers, contemplating my next move.
My brother's morning beatings left bruises, but Ivy's kiss hurts in a different way.
Finally, I type out the message about coffee, delete it, then type it again.
The bell rings, startling me.
Students flood past, giving me a wide berth as usual.
Through the crowd, I spot Ivy at her locker, checking her phone.
Before I can stop myself, I hit send.
She looks up, catches my eye, and smiles.
