It's an unassuming bookstore on a street corner with a single clerk who runs the bookstore every day, but few people come in. One day, when it is raining heavily, a pretty girl notices the bookstore in the rain and runs in to hide from the rain, and then wanders around the bookstore. Without realizing it, she found a book she had been looking forward to for a long time!
I opened my bookstore at 9:00 every morning, and closed it at 5:00 every evening, with a one-hour break for lunch.
It was never really busy here, but I didn't mind.
I had always been an introvert and had never had many friends, so I was always content with being by myself.
I spent most of my days here, and even when there were no customers in the store, I was busy with the computer or reading behind the counter.
My bookstore was located on a street corner.
The building was made of dark red bricks, and the shop's sign was painted white.
It was a cozy little place, but it wasn't particularly popular, so I didn't make much money.
I had been working here for a few years now, and it had become my sanctuary.
My own little world of stories and dreams.
Rain fell outside, pattering against the windows and creating a light drizzle on the glass.
I looked up from my book and gazed outside.
It was raining heavily today, which meant there were fewer customers than usual.
I liked rainy days.
The sound of rain was very soothing for me, and I always felt more relaxed when it rained.
I closed my book and put it aside.
Rainy days were perfect for reading novels.
I was very happy working at the bookstore, as I could read all day without anyone bothering me.
The door creaked open, and a young woman stepped inside, looking a little flustered.
"Hi, can I help you?"I asked with a smile.
She looked at me with surprise, then smiled back.
"Ah, no, just looking around."She looked to be in her twenties, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
She had on light-blue jeans and a white T-shirt, looking clean and refreshing.
She didn't have any makeup on, but her skin was fair and smooth.
She was very pretty indeed.
"Take your time," I said gently.
She nodded and walked farther into the store.
I went back to my own business.
This bookstore was not big, but I had put a lot of thought and effort into decorating it.
It was pretty cozy inside.
There were several bookshelves scattered around the store.
They held all kinds of books: poetry collections, novels, essays.
You name it, we had it.
We also sold office supplies and gifts.
There was even a tiny coffee shop in the corner of the store.
A few tables and chairs were placed there.
But we didn't serve hot food.
If you were hungry or thirsty, you could always buy some snacks or beverages from the shelves.
It was pretty nice here.
Five minutes later, the young woman walked back to the counter with a book in her hand.
"Did you find what you're looking for?"I asked.
"Yes."She smiled at me.
"I'll take this one."
"Sure thing."I took the book and scanned the barcode with the machine.
The price appeared on the screen.
