I am Sin Capone.
Cyberpunk bounty hunter and gladiator leader.
I fight for freedom.
I fight for answers.
I fight against the Breach… and sometimes for it.
My suit beeps, alerting me to an incoming call from Hazel, one of my fellow gladiators and allies.
"Sin, we need to talk."
"Go ahead," I say, my voice modulated by my suit to sound deeper and more commanding.
"I’ve been tracking the Breach’s latest energy signature. It’s heading straight for Black Glass Sanctum."
"Sanctum? That’s where the Warden of Ash resides. The Breach is probably after him next."
"He won’t be easy to take down," Hazel says.
"Not with his veiled breach guards. They’re like an impenetrable wall of fire."
"I’ll take care of them," I say, already planning my attack strategy.
"But Hazel, you said Sanctum. Is that what they call the new fortress they built on the old landfill?"
"Yes. Why?"
"It’s probably a trap. Think about it. The government never helps anyone for free. There must be something underneath that landfill they want to protect or extract."
"Like what?"
"They’re not telling us anything. Maybe the Breach knows and that’s why it’s heading there now."
"If you’re right, then we need to get there first and find out what’s going on."
Isolation Deep Space
I activate my suit’s enhanced vision mode, scanning the urban sprawl between me and Black Glass Sanctum.
The neon-lit skyscrapers cast long shadows across the lower districts, but my augmented reality display highlights three potential routes.
The first runs through the abandoned subway tunnels, risky but direct.
The second follows the maintenance catwalks of the city’s upper levels, offering a bird’s-eye view but vulnerable to aerial patrols.
The third cuts through the Neon District’s back alleys, a labyrinth of shadows and danger.
I mark each path on my neural map while keeping an eye on the Breach’s movement patterns.
Its energy signature pulses stronger by the minute, drawing closer to its target.
After calculating travel times and risks, I select the subway route.
It may be dangerous, but it’s the fastest way to reach Sanctum before the Breach unleashes its fury.
I leap down from the rooftop, using my suit’s enhanced strength to land gracefully on a broken service hatch.
Isolation Deep Space
"Hazel, I need you to meet me at the subway entrance," I say, urgency lacing my words.
"On my way, but Sin, there's something else you should know," Hazel replies, her voice tense.
"The Warden of Ash has a new ally—someone from our past."
I descend into the dimly lit subway tunnel, my boots crunching on broken tiles and scattered debris.
The air grows thicker with each step, heavy with the stench of decay and old electronics.
My suit’s sensors detect movement ahead—probably scavengers or government patrols.
"Hazel, how far are you?"
I ask through the earpiece.
"Ten minutes out," she replies, her breathing steady as she runs.
"I’ll meet you at the entrance."
I pause at a junction, checking the holographic map projected from my wrist device.
The fastest route to Black Glass Sanctum requires crossing through an abandoned platform.
As I step onto the platform’s edge, the concrete beneath my feet starts to vibrate.
Isolation Deep Space
"Sin, you need to know who the ally is," Hazel's voice crackles through the earpiece, urgency cutting through the static.
"Who?" I ask, bracing myself for the revelation.
"It's your brother, Kane. He's alive and working with the Warden."
