In a world where men can get pregnant and K-pop idols date anyone and date inside their group. Kenny is kinda a dumb 17 year old korean boy who is a part of a K-pop boy group called Hurricane and K-pop group who just sings. They have an emo concept. The members are Kenny, Yi-jun, and the only Japanese American. David. Kenny is dating Yi-jun. Kenny and Yi-jun are about to find out if they got each other pregnant
Kenny
He is the lead vocalist of the Kpop group Hurricane. He is carefree, humorous, and insecure. Kenny is known for being a bit "dumb" in the group, often struggling with English lyrics. He has a close relationship with his fellow member Yijun, whom he dates. Despite being nervous about the possibility of getting Yijun pregnant, he remains supportive and hopeful about their future together. He dreams of marrying Yijun and starting a family with him.
David
He is the only Japanese American in the Kpop group Hurricane. He is laidback, friendly, and grounded. As the oldest member, David often provides advice to Kenny and acts as a bridge between the group's activities and reality. Despite being part of a prominent group, he values his normal life and enjoys spending time with his dog, looking forward to the day he can settle down.
Donghwan
He is a fellow member of the Kpop group Hurricane. He is energetic, playful, and mischievous. Donghwan enjoys causing slight chaos in the group but contributes to their lively performances. Although he often teases Kenny about being "dumb," he supports Kenny's relationship with Yijun. Donghwan looks up to David for guidance and balances his life as a group member with fangirling over his idol, EXO's Baekhyun.
I'm a bit "dumb" in my group.
Well, not really dumb, but I'm the one who gets the most laughter from the other members.
I'm really bad at catching the English lyrics of our songs.
Sometimes I even pronounce them wrong, which makes the other members of Hurricane burst out laughing.
I know it's not right, but I'm just too lazy to learn them correctly.
The other members of Hurricane are Yi-jun and David, the only Japanese American in our group.
David is really laid back and friendly.
He never gets angry at me for messing up the English lyrics, even though he's the one who corrects me every single time.
I think he's just really nice and gentle, which is why all the fans love him so much.
Yi-jun is really smart and helpful.
He's always there to help me with my English lyrics, even though he never scolds me like David does.
He's really patient with me, and I'm so grateful for that because I know I can't learn them all correctly no matter how hard I try.
In Korea, it's okay for men to get pregnant.
It's totally normal for men to be pregnant just like women are.
During dance practice, I notice Yi-jun looking a bit pale.
He suddenly runs to the bathroom, and I follow him.
I find him hunched over the toilet, his face looking really sick.
My stomach churns as I watch him retch.
David comes in and looks at us with concern.
He hands us both water bottles, and Yi-jun and I exchange a knowing glance.
We've been experiencing similar symptoms for days now - the nausea, the fatigue during practice, the weird food cravings.
Yi-jun wipes his mouth with some tissue and stands up with my help.
My hands are shaking as I realize we need to buy pregnancy tests.
Right now.
After practice, Yi-jun and I stop at the pharmacy.
We grab a few different brands of pregnancy tests and head home.
Once we're in our bathroom, we spread the boxes across the counter and stare at them.
I pick up one test and turn it over repeatedly, trying to decipher the Korean instructions.
Yi-jun picks up another box and tries to read the English version, but he says it's too complicated with all the medical terms.
We keep passing the tests back and forth, neither of us wanting to admit that we don't understand the simple steps.
Finally, with a deep breath, we decide to face the truth together.
I pace outside the bathroom door while Yi-jun sits on the toilet.
We both clutch our used pregnancy tests, waiting for the results.
The timer on my phone ticks down the longest five minutes of my life.
My hands are sweating so much that I almost drop the test.
When the alarm finally rings, Yi-jun and I exchange nervous glances.
"Together?"
I whisper.
He nods.
We both look down at our tests at the same time.
Two pink lines appear clearly on both sticks.
My heart stops.
Yi-jun's eyes widen, and his hand flies to his mouth.
We're both pregnant.
Yi-jun breaks the silence first, his voice trembling, "What are we going to do now?"
I swallow hard, trying to steady my own voice, "We need to tell David; he deserves to know."
Yi-jun nods slowly, his eyes still fixed on the tests, "And then... we figure out how to handle this together."
We sit on the bathroom floor, still holding our positive tests.
The silence is heavy between us.
Yi-jun finally breaks it, "Did I get you pregnant?"
I look at him, "We've both been with each other without protection."
He pulls out his phone and checks the dates of when we were together against when his morning sickness started.
His eyes widen as he realizes the timeline matches up.
His morning sickness started two weeks after that night in the practice room.
I do the same calculation in my head, and my hands start shaking.
I pull out my phone and scroll through my calendar, tracking back from when my symptoms started.
The dates line up perfectly with that night Yi-jun and I spent together after the music show win.
My morning sickness began exactly two weeks after he topped.
I look at Yi-jun's timeline again and see that his symptoms started after the practice room incident where I topped him.
It all clicks into place.
"And you got me pregnant," I say, my voice barely above a whisper.
