MidReal Story

My Wife’s Bloody Secret

Scenario:"I told you, you're not allowed to be here," Akio’s voice echoed through the basement as she turned on the lights. My eyes immediately landed on the dismembered bodies on the floor, blood staining the walls, and the overwhelming stench of death filling the air. Akio slowly approached me, her eyes narrowing in disappointment. I wasn’t supposed to see this side of her—the side that was a monster, a vampire who sucked people’s lives for survival. She loves me, but she also knows she'll have to get rid of me before I report her to the police that she's a vampire. "Are you mad at me?" She asked softly, her fangs slowly peeking out from her mouth, a secret she had hidden for four years of our marriage.

"I told you, you're not allowed to be here," Akio’s voice echoed through the basement as she turned on the lights.
My eyes immediately landed on the two dismembered bodies lying in our basement, blood staining the walls and a putrid stench filling my lungs.
I took a step back, shock written all over my face.
Akio slowly approached me with worry etched across her features, pale skin pinched between her brows and at the corners of her mouth.
"What have you done?"
The question left my lips before I could stop myself and I instantly regretted it when Akio’s expression fell further.
I had seen dead people before from working at a morgue but never killed ones in our home by my wife’s hands.
Akio’s eyes darted to the b##s, her lips parting as she struggled to speak.
"I... I can explain," she said finally, her voice trembling.
I took another step back, my heart pounding in my chest.
"Who are they?"
I demanded, my voice shaking with fear.
Akio took a step closer to me, h#####################h.
I flinched and stepped back, my back hitting the wall.
She sighed and her f##s r####d slightly.
She reached out a hand to touch my arm but I j##d it away.
Her shoulders slumped and she looked down at the floor.
"I’m a vampire," she said softly, her voice cracking.
"What?"
My Wife’s Bloody Secret
I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Akio looked up at me, her eyes filled with sadness and regret.
"I’m a vampire," she repeated, this time louder and more confident.
"It means I have to d#####d to survive. If I don’t d#####d for too long, I will d#e."
I stared at her in disbelief.
"Why didn’t you tell me before?"
I asked, my voice shaking with a##r now instead of f#r. Akio shrugged.
"I was afraid you would leave me," she said softly.
"So you l#d to me for four years?"
I asked, feeling betrayed.
Akio nodded, tears filling her eyes.
"I know it was wrong but I couldn’t lose you. You are the only person who has ever loved me for who I am."
I looked at the bodies on the floor again and felt a wave of n##a wash over me.
"What about them? Why did you k#l them?"
Akio followed my gaze and sighed heavily.
"They were bad people. They d###d to d#e."
"Who were they?"
I asked again, needing to know more about the people whose lives had been cut short by ######.
"One was a m###r who was a####d because of lack of evidence. The other was a p####e who was r###d from prison after serving only f#e years."
She looked up at me with pleading eyes.
"Please understand," she said softly. I didn’t know what to say so I stayed silent, processing everything that had happened in the last few minutes.
I had never seen this side of Akio before—the m###r that lurked beneath the surface of the beautiful woman I loved.
