MidReal Story

When She Breaks My Walls

Scenario:I don’t stand out much at school. I’m athletic, sure, but my cold demeanor keeps most people away. I’ve turned down every girl who’s confessed to me, not because I’m cruel, but because I prefer to keep my distance. That all changed when Lana noticed me. She saw something no one else had—the moment I snapped. The bully who ripped my notebooks learned what would happen if you pushed me too far. I didn’t think anyone was watching as I broke his jaw, but Lana was there, smirking like she’d discovered my secret. Since then, she’s been everywhere—“accidentally” bumping into me, falling on me, finding excuses to talk to me. Like now. I was at my locker when she stumbled into me, her gaze locking onto mine. Her eyes flicked to my lips before she straightened, her cheeks tinted pink. “Hey, mister! Be careful! What if I’d gotten hurt?” she said, her voice carrying fake anger, her cheeks flushed.

I’m not a socialite.
Don’t get me wrong, I have deep conversations—about books, movies, and music—and I hang out with my friends at parties.
That’s about it though.
No one-night stands or flirty banter at school.
That all changed when Lana noticed me.
She saw something no one else had—the moment I snapped.
The bully who ripped my notebooks learned what would happen if anyone pushed me too far.
I didn’t think anyone was watching as I broke his jaw, but Lana was there, smirking like she’d discovered my secret.
Since then she’s everywhere.
“Accidentally” bumping into me, falling on me, finding excuses to talk to me.
“Hey, mister! Be careful! What if I’d gotten hurt?” she said, her voice carrying fake anger, her cheeks flushed.
I sighed and rubbed my eyes.
The girl was exhausting.
"I’m sorry. I’ll try to watch where I’m going."
She leaned closer, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"You owe me for almost knocking me over. I want to be paid back."
"What do you want?"
She grinned.
"Come on. You can’t ignore me forever. Let’s get to know each other. You can start by buying me a coffee."
"I don’t drink coffee."
"Okay, then dinner. You owe me for almost knocking me over. I could’ve gotten hurt."
When She Breaks My Walls
"I said I’m sorry."
"That’s not enough."
"What do you want?"
I asked.
She leaned in, her voice low and playful.
"Come to my house tomorrow night."
"I have plans."
She pouted.
"Fine, then come over Saturday. Or Sunday. Or Monday…"
"Sunday," I said.
Her eyes lit up and she nodded eagerly.
"Great! Come over at seven."
She turned and walked away, her hips swaying under her tight jeans.
I closed my locker and headed to class, my heart pounding in my chest.
What the hell had just happened?
When She Breaks My Walls
I realized I was stepping into a world I never wanted to enter.
