I was sitting on my favourite wooden charpai, my hair tied back in a silver plait, my eyes twinkling with warmth as I looked at my grandson.
The sun was shining down on us, casting a golden glow over the courtyard, the flowers, the birds singing in the trees.
It was a magical moment and I knew just the tale to tell.
"Do you know about the monster who lived in the forest?"
I asked him, my voice low and mysterious.
His eyes grew wide with wonder.
"No," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Tell me."
I smiled, taking a deep breath.
"Long ago, in a forest not far from here, there was a terrible monster. He had sharp claws and teeth, scales that were black as coal, and wings that spread wide enough to block out the sun. The villagers were terrified of him, and no one dared to go into the forest when he was around."
My grandson's eyes were growing wider with excitement.
"What happened?"
He asked me.
"Well," I continued slowly.
"One brave young man decided to go into the forest to see if he could find the monster. He packed a bag with food and water and set off early in the morning. As he walked deeper into the forest, he heard strange noises, like something was following him. Suddenly, he came across a clearing, and there in the middle of it was the monster."
