Ethan

He is a young man living with his father and two brothers. He is responsible, adventurous, and emotional. Ethan deeply bonds with his father after his mother leaves. He learns to cook and fix things around the house. He enjoys spending time with his brothers, Jake and Mason, and has a close relationship with his cousin, Ally. Ethan works on a farm and loves the river, which brings back fond memories of his childhood.

Ally

She is Ethan's cousin who lives nearby. She is friendly, supportive, and lively. Ally often visits her uncle's house and has a close relationship with her cousins, especially after her parents' divorce. She brings joy and laughter to the family and enjoys spending time with them. Ally works parttime at a bakery outside of town and helps take care of her pet dog, Bear, when her parents go out.

Jake

He is one of Ethan's brothers. He is carefree, playful, and mischievous. Jake often teases his brother but also looks out for him. He enjoys swimming in the river and has a close relationship with his cousin, Ally. Jake works on a farm and helps take care of the animals. He shares a strong bond with his family and enjoys spending time with them, especially during holidays like Christmas.

I live with my dad and my two brothers, Jake and Mason, in a house on the river side.

We also have three dogs, Shadow, Max, and Bear.

My mom left us when I was little, so I don't really remember her.

My brothers don't talk about her much, but sometimes I can see the sadness in their eyes when they think about her.

Dad doesn't like to talk about her either, but he is always patient and kind.

After she left, my brothers and I learned to do many things on our own.

Jake and Mason learned to cook, while I learned to fix things around the house.

Sometimes we would fight over whose turn it was to do the dishes or the laundry, but we always made up in the end.

We have a pretty good life, I think.

I love spending time with my brothers and doing things together.

We like to go fishing, swimming, and take our boat out on the river whenever we can.

I also like to spend time with my cousin Ally.

She lives in a small house with her parents outside of town and visits us often.

Her smile always brightens up our day and brings joy to our lives.
