Kazuki Hayashi

Kazuki's Mother
She is the single parent of Kazuki and Nanami. She works hard to provide for her family and maintains a strict household. She is caring, traditional, and authoritative. Her husband left when Kazuki was young, leaving a void in their lives that both children struggle with. She tries to balance nurturing Nanami while maintaining discipline over Kazuki's rebellious nature.
Nanami Hayashi
She is Kazuki's 15yearold cousin, living in a small apartment with her mother. She is shy, sensitive, and conflicted. Nanami often finds herself in situations where she is forced to confront the differences between her cousin's carefree lifestyle and her own responsible upbringing. She looks up to Kazuki but feels uneasy around him, especially after an incident where he helped her during an emergency at school.
