I was doing my homework when I saw an ad on TV about a cosmetic surgery clinic that offers superpowers.
I was surprised and skeptical at first, but I also became curious and interested.
I mean, who wouldn’t want a superpower?
The ad said that this clinic has found a way to give people superpowers through a surgical procedure.
It also warned people that the procedure is expensive and risky.
I decided then to do some research about this clinic.
After searching online for hours, I found very little information and no reviews about this clinic.
It seemed suspicious at first, but then I thought that maybe they don’t want to attract too much attention.
I also found out that they have a website with very little information and an online contact form.
I filled the form and waited for days for a response.
Days turned into weeks, and I almost gave up until I received a call from a man who introduced himself as Dr. Lee, the director of the superpowers clinic.
He asked me some questions about myself and what superpower I wanted.
When I told him that I was just a high school student and that I wanted to be invisible, he laughed and told me that this was the easiest and safest superpower for a beginner like me.
He told me to take the bus downtown and gave me the address of the clinic.
I took the bus downtown and got off at the stop closest to the address.
The clinic was a modern glass building wedged between two older offices.
The lobby was small and sterile, with a white marble floor and walls.
There was a receptionist sitting behind a desk, and she looked up at me when I entered.
"Can I help you?" she asked.
"I’m here to see Dr. Lee," I said.
"Ah, yes," she said, checking her computer screen.
"He’s expecting you. Please take the elevator to the third floor."
I thanked her and took the elevator to the third floor.
When I got there, I saw Dr. Lee waiting for me in his office.
He was wearing an expensive suit and had a smile on his face that looked practiced and fake.
"Ah, welcome," he said, extending his hand for me to shake.
"Thank you for coming."
He led me into his office and sat down behind his desk.
"So, you want to be invisible?" he asked, looking at me with a curious expression.
"Yes," I said, nodding my head.
"Well, we can definitely help you with that," he said, picking up his tablet from the desk and tapping on the screen.
"This is what we call the invisibility procedure. It involves injecting special compounds into your bloodstream that will make you invisible."
He showed me diagrams of the procedure on his tablet, explaining how it worked. "It sounds complicated," I said, feeling a bit nervous about it all.
"Don’t worry," he said, smiling reassuringly at me.
"It’s completely safe and painless. We’ve done this procedure many times before, and all of our patients have been very happy with the results."
I nodded my head, feeling a bit better about it all.
"How long does it take?"
I asked him.
"The procedure itself only takes a few minutes," he said.
"But you’ll need to stay here for a few hours afterward so that we can monitor your condition."
I nodded my head again, feeling even better about it all now.
"What are the side effects?"
I asked him then.
"There are no side effects," he said confidently.
"This procedure is completely safe and has no negative consequences whatsoever."
I nodded my head again, feeling even better about it all now.
"When can I schedule the surgery?"
