I am sitting on the couch in Raven's apartment, and she is sitting next to me.
I am trying to be as comfortable as possible, but it is not easy when you are wearing such stupid clothes.
"Raven, can I ask you something?"
I say.
"Of course, you can. What is it?"
She asks.
"Do you think I look stupid in these clothes?"
I ask.
Why did I even ask that question?
What if she says yes?
Then I will feel stupid and I will hate myself for wearing such stupid clothes.
But maybe she will say no...
Maybe she will think I look good in such clothes.
But what does it matter what she thinks?
Ugh.
"Why would you ask me that question?"
Raven asks.
"I don't know..."
I say.
"I just wanted to know what you think."
"You shouldn't care about what other people think. You should only care about what you think."
She says.
"But it is hard not to care about what other people think..."
I say.
"Why is it hard for you?"
She asks.
"Because I am self-conscious..."
I say.
"I don't think I am beautiful or anything like that. And when I wear such stupid clothes like these, I feel even more stupid."
"You shouldn't think that you are not beautiful. Everyone is beautiful in their own way."
Raven says.
"I don't know... Maybe you are right."
I say.
"But I still don't feel beautiful."
