Huddle Up

Scenario:ok, here's a story concept: in the in the year 1997, multiple individuals, some of them criminals in jail, had been privately approached for a project called the "A Star Reborn" Project. This project promised that they would give them a new life as clean, healthy and famous individuals, and that all their previous life problems would be erased as long as they consented to cutting off all past ties and having their bodies altered. some of them were people who were in jail for life, with some even looking towards death row, so they had no other option than to go with it, and as a result they were taken away to the project's headquarters, while to the public they all either went missing or were still in jail. A over decade later in the year 2008 a children's show called "Huddle Up!" began airing. It was a show about four Coaches, The boisterous football and contact sport coach Rhino, the peppy gymnastics Coach Stacy, the clever tech savvy basketball coach Eli, and the passionate aerobics coach Brandy, teaching kids about health and exercise in a fun, comedic, and over the top way. Over the year, more and more coaches were introduced. There was the tomboyish baseball coach Riley, the artsy dance coach Dante, Laidback watersports coach and Eli's brother Otto, and the villain turned friend dare devil and bike sports coach Zach. The Show was a success and became wildly popular. All the coaches got equal amounts of screen time and their own segments, so they all developed massive fanbases of kids. The coaches had unbridled energy and frequently pulled off stunts that most pro athletes struggles with. the coaches live sheltered lives under the strict watchful eye of their creators. when their not doing the show, their most likely training up for it in their respective rooms. the coaches do not remember, nor do they think about or question their origins. the know they aren't exactly human, but they moreso think that they're robots that were manufacture for the job, rather than former humans. one of them, Otto, has recently began feeling a pull towards the outside of the studio that he can't quite place.

I woke up in my room, ready to go on the air.
I stretched and yawned, then headed toward the equipment that I used to train with every morning.
But then I saw the window.
The morning light was pouring in, casting long shadows across the floor.
I stepped closer, feeling drawn to it for some reason.
Huddle Up
I pressed my hand against the glass, feeling the coolness of it seep into my skin.
It was strange, but I felt a pull toward the outside world that I couldn't explain.
Instead of training, I spent the rest of the morning staring out the window, watching people walk by.
My usual routine forgotten, I stood there until it was time to leave for the studio.
I notice Otto lingering by the back door of the mansion during our lunch break.
His hand hovers over the handle, but he doesn't open it.
Something is off about him.
Usually, he's sitting in his chair, reviewing his water safety scripts and practicing his lines.
But today, he keeps glancing outside through the small window in the door.
He seems nervous, fidgety.
I'm about to call out to him when he suddenly pushes the door open and steps out onto the concrete patio.
His body tenses as his bare feet touch the ground.
I watch from around the corner as he takes another hesitant step, then another.
His movements are stiff, mechanical, like he's fighting against invisible restraints.
Huddle Up
He reaches the grass and freezes, staring down at his feet as if they're foreign objects.
A car horn blares in the distance, making him jump.
I move closer, not wanting to startle him further.
He remains frozen on the grass, his shoulders hunched and head down like he's trying to solve a puzzle.
The afternoon sun casts his shadow long across the lawn.
Through the open door, I hear the production assistants calling for everyone to get to their positions.
Time's running out before the next segment.
Huddle Up
I clear my throat and raise my voice just enough to carry across the yard: "Hey Otto? What are you doing buddy? The show's about to start!"
