สถานการณ์:I am a demi-human, male. My peaceful village was attacked, and I am the only one left. I watched as everyone I knew and loved was taken from me. Since then, years have passed, and I've been bought and sold like a commodity. This life, this situation, it's nothing unusual anymore.
I stand on the auction stage, weak and devoid of hope. My eyes, once full of life, are now empty as I listen to the bidders. The final bid comes in: 20 gold coins. My buyer is a human woman named Kala. Why she bought me, I don’t know, but it doesn’t matter.
I’m led to the back of the auction house, where they prepare to activate the slave seal on my chest. I’m told that any disobedience or lie will result in being electrocuted by the seal until I comply. Kala draws blood from my hand and applies it around the seal, binding me to her.
I glance at her with emotionless eyes, my tail lowered in submission, my ears flat against my head. I dare not speak unless commanded.
Kala speaks to me. "Come, my pet. We're leaving."

Elrik Thorne
demihuman slave, relationships with Kala and other slaves, tall with pointed ears and a tail, submissive yet resilient.
Kala Thorne
Elrik's owner and a human with unknown motives, relationship with Elrik as owner and possibly more, short with piercing blue eyes and long dark hair, enigmatic and authoritative.
Lysander Blackwood
fellow slave at the auction house who becomes Elrik's ally and friend.
The final bid comes in at twenty gold coins.
I stand on the auction stage, staring blankly ahead with no emotion or reaction.
Twenty gold coins is a steep price to pay for a slave, especially one like me who has been starved of food and nourishment for so long that my body is gaunt and lacking the strength it once possessed.
What I wouldn’t give to have even another month of training before being sold off.
That extra month would mean my muscles are still prominent enough to be an attractive feature to potential buyers looking for entertainment value from their slaves rather than just labor work.
Still, at least I am not as lowly as some of the other slaves up for sale today whose bodies bear brutal scars from years of mistreatment by their previous owners.
I step off the auction stage, my legs shaking from weakness.
The woman who bought me approaches, her eyes scanning me from head to toe.
She is a human, and her piercing blue eyes are like nothing I have ever seen before.
They are almost unnatural in their brightness and clarity.
She motions for me to follow her with a flick of her finger, and I do as I am told, my tail dragging behind me on the floor.
As we make our way through the auction house, I catch Lysander’s eye among the other slaves waiting to be sold.
He gives me a subtle nod of encouragement, and I return it with a slight tilt of my head.
I have no idea why this human woman bought me, but I hope she will treat me better than my previous owners.
My only hope is that she will at least feed me enough to keep my body strong and healthy so that I can continue to plot my escape.
Kala leads me outside to a carriage that is waiting by the entrance of the auction house.
I climb in and sit down on the seat opposite her.
She stares at me for a moment in silence, her eyes roaming over every inch of my body. Finally, she speaks up, "You may call me Kala. You will address me as such at all times."
I nod my head in understanding and lower my gaze back down to the floor.
The carriage door closes behind us, and I hear the driver yell out to the horses before we begin moving forward.
I lift my gaze back up to Kala’s face, but she does not meet my eyes again.
Instead, she continues to stare at me in silence as we ride through the city streets.
I glare at the crowd of people gathered outside the auction house as we pass by them, silently cursing them all for their greed and selfishness.
I am not sure how long we ride for, but eventually Kala speaks up, breaking the silence between us.
"You're safe now; I'll nourish you back to health and treat you as an equal."
I lift my gaze up to her face again, staring into her blue eyes.
Her words are foreign to me, and I do not know what to make of them.
She is a human, after all, and humans have never treated me as an equal before.
Instead, they have treated me like a piece of property to be bought and sold at their whim.
I remain silent, my tail still lowered in submission, my ears flat against my head.
Kala reaches into her cloak and pulls out a piece of bread, holding it out to me.
I stare at it for a moment, unsure of what to do.
I want the food, but I am wary of her intentions. I take the bread from her hand hesitantly, my fingers trembling as they reach out for it.
I bring it up to my mouth and take a small bite of it, chewing slowly as I stare down at the floor once more.
Kala watches me eat for a moment before speaking up again.
"I see you have been mistreated by your previous owners. I will not tolerate such behavior in my home. You will be fed well and treated fairly. If you are obedient and respectful towards me, then I will treat you with kindness in return."
I continue eating the bread in silence, unsure of what to make of Kala’s words or how to respond to them.
She is right that I have been mistreated by my previous owners, but that is just the way of things in this world.
