I was dreaming of a nice relaxing family summer vacation.
Somewhere warm with sandy beaches and clear blue ocean.
Somewhere that would be fun for our 10 year old daughter Sarah, like Disney World.
Somewhere that would be romantic for my husband John and me, like a candlelight dinner on the beach.
Somewhere that would not break the bank.
After weeks of searching I finally found the perfect place, or so I thought.
It was called the Seaside Inn, in a small coastal town in our state.
Several web sites including tripadvisor and yelp rated it very high with lots of rave reviews.
The price was very reasonable so I booked a week long stay.
Then I showed John and Sarah.
John was skeptical because of the low price, but Sarah and I convinced him that it would be great fun.
A week later we arrived at the hotel in the early evening, only to find out that it was not a family resort, but rather an old run down hotel right on the edge of the town, with very few buildings beyond it.
The exterior looked like a dump, but we were told that it had been recently renovated with new furnishings and appliances.
