I was walking down the hallway when Mia stopped me.
She had an envelope in her hands.
"Can you give this to my mom?"
"Yes, of course."
I took the envelope and read the address.
"You are coming to the party, right?"
"Of course."
"The theme is 'swimsuit.' So don't forget to bring your swimsuit."
"I won't."
I tucked the envelope into my backpack and waved goodbyes before heading to class.
I didn't think much of the party until I got out of class the next day and saw Mia waiting for me.
She had a bag in her hand and a smile on her face.
"What is it?"
I gestured to the bag.
"My swimsuit, of course."
"Oh, yeah! I totally forgot."
"Why didn't you remind me?"
"I thought I did."
"Nope. You didn't."
"Are you sure? I could've forgotten."
"I would've remembered. You wouldn't have let me forget."
"Okay, fine. I didn't remind you. But you have time to get something, right? It's not until this evening."
"This is a problem."
"Why?"
"I don't have a swimsuit."
