I stared at my phone, reading the text over three times before I finally comprehended what it said.

When I still couldn't wrap my head around it, I looked at the top of the screen again, just to make sure it wasn't one of my girlfriends texting me.

It wasn't.

Mia Thompson, one of my girlfriends—not my girlfriend—but a female I was friends with, had just invited me to a girls' night.

A girls' night that, according to the text, would probably involve a swimsuit or two.

Since I was a guy, that made me beyond curious—even if there will be twenty girls and only one guy (aka me).

I hadn't been invited to a party like this in a long time.

Not since I was in high school, anyway—and those were always filled with red cups and Nerf guns.

But I wasn't going just because of the mystery surrounding the girls in swimsuits.

I was going because Mia had never invited me to a party before.

She had always been cautious when it came to inviting me places, and I knew why.
