I was done.
Done with being a push over.
Done with being weak.
When I found out that Ben had slept with another woman behind my back, I was done.
The only thing that I could think of was how much I wanted to kill him.
I wanted to get rid of the arrogant prick.
He thought that just because he had the omnitrix, he could do whatever he wanted and get away with it.
Well, I had news for him.
I wasn't the same Gwendolyn Tennyson that everyone knew.
I wasn't weak anymore.
I wasn't pushover Gwendolyn.
I was now vengeful Gwendolyn and at the moment, I just wanted to kill Ben Tennyson.
But when I thought about it, killing Ben would be too easy.
He deserved to suffer.
The prick deserved to suffer.
At the moment, I didn't care about Ben Tennyson anymore.
At the moment, all I could think of was taking down Ben's arch nemesis, Vilgax.
*If anybody was going to get a taste of revenge, it was going to be me.*
If anybody was going to take down Vilgax and rule over the galaxy, it was going to be me.
At the moment, I didn't care about the galaxy though.
All I could think of was how much I wanted to kill Vilgax.
I wanted to get my revenge on him.
I walked through the neon-lit streets, my tactical outfit blending in with the shadows.
I walked through the busy streets of Tokyo, Japan, making my way to a secluded alleyway.
I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small device.
It was an advanced communicator that I had built myself.
It was able to send messages to any planet in the galaxy.
I opened up the device and began to type out a message.
My fingers trembled slightly as I typed out the message.
It was a challenge.
A challenge to Vilgax himself.
I finished typing out the message and hit send.
The device beeped, confirming that the message had been sent.
I closed the device and put it back in my pocket.
I leaned back against the wall of the alleyway, waiting for a response from Vilgax.
Suddenly, I heard a noise behind me.
I turned around, ready to defend myself if necessary. But it wasn't an enemy that stood before me.
It was Grampa Max Tennyson, Ben's grandfather and my grandfather-in-law.
He looked at me with concern in his eyes, but he didn't say anything.
He knew that I needed time alone right now.
I nodded at him, acknowledging his presence.
He nodded back at me and then turned and walked away, leaving me alone once again in the alleyway.
The city hummed around me as I waited for Vilgax's response to my challenge.
The neon lights flickered above, casting shadows that danced around me.
The sound of distant traffic and the chatter of pedestrians filled the air.
I stood there, my eyes fixed on the communicator in my hand, waiting for the response that would change everything.
Grampa Max was gone, but his presence still lingered in my mind.
I could feel his concern and support even though he had left without saying a word.
I appreciated his understanding, but right now, I needed to focus on the task at hand.
Suddenly, the device buzzed in my hand.
I quickly opened it up and read the message on the screen.
It was from Vilgax himself.
"I accept your challenge, Gwen Tennyson," it read.
"Prepare to face your doom."
A shiver ran down my spine as I read the message.
My heart began to pound in my chest and I clenched my fists tightly.
I knew that this was it, the moment I had been waiting for.
I took a deep breath and composed myself before responding to the message.
But before I could type out a response, another message flashed on the screen. This one was from Ben Tennyson himself.
"Gwen, we need to talk," it read.
I ignored the message from Ben for now and typed out a response to Vilgax.
"You may have bested Ben Tennyson," I typed, "but you will never defeat me. Prepare to face your own doom, Vilgax."
I hit send and waited for a response.
The device buzzed again and I opened it up to read the message.
"You are no match for me, Gwen Tennyson," it read.
"I will crush you like the insignificant insect that you are."
I smiled to myself as I read the message.
Vilgax was confident in his abilities, but I knew that he was underestimating me.
I was not going to be defeated so easily.
The device buzzed again, this time with a message from Ben.
"Gwen, please respond," it read.
"We need to talk."
I sighed and closed the device.
I didn't want to deal with Ben right now.
I had more important things on my mind.
As I stood there, lost in thought, I heard a noise behind me.
I turned around to see Ben standing at the entrance of the alleyway. My heart sank as I saw him standing there, his eyes filled with guilt and regret.
I didn't know what to say to him, so I just stood there silently, my arms crossed over my chest.
Ben took a step forward and cleared his throat nervously.
"Gwen, we need to talk," he said softly.
"I know you're upset with me, but please just listen to what I have to say."
My anger boiled over and without thinking, I punched him in the face as hard as I could.
Ben stumbled back in surprise and fell to the ground with a thud.
I stood over him, my fists clenched tightly and my heart pounding in my chest.
"How could you do this to me?"
I demanded angrily.
"How could you rat me out to the alien terrorist?"
Ben looked up at me with tears in his eyes and shook his head sadly.
"I didn't do it for money," he said quietly. "Then why did you do it?"
I asked angrily, my voice shaking with emotion.
Ben sighed heavily and rubbed his temples with his fingers.
"I did it for payback," he said finally.
I reluctantly extended my hand to help him to his feet.
He brushed the dirt off of his clothes and then looked up at me with a sad expression on his face.
"Please, just listen to what I have to say," he said quietly.
I crossed my arms over my chest and nodded for him to continue.
Ben took a deep breath and began to explain himself.
"I was betrayed by someone I trusted," he said, his voice shaking with emotion.
"I wanted revenge, so I made a deal with the alien terrorist."
I clenched my fists tightly at my sides as I listened to him speak.
I stared at him, my fists still clenched tightly at my sides.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small device.
He pressed a button on it and suddenly, the sound of Vilgax's voice filled the alleyway.
I looked up at the neon lights flickering above us as I listened to the recording.
The sound of his voice filled me with anger and hatred.
But as I listened to what he had to say, my anger began to shift from Ben to Vilgax.
Ben looked at me with pleading eyes, hoping that I would understand why he had done what he did.
I took a deep breath and tried to process everything that I had just learned.
As the recording came to an end, I turned away from Ben and walked towards the exit of the alleyway.
"Gwen, wait," Ben called out, desperation lacing his voice.
I paused but didn't turn around, my mind a whirlwind of emotions.
"Vilgax has a plan to destroy the Omnitrix," he revealed, his words hanging heavy in the air.
I turned back to him, my fists clenched tight.
The neon lights cast harsh shadows on his face as he pleaded for forgiveness.
I stepped closer, my anger boiling over.
Grabbing him by the collar, I slammed him against the alley wall.
"I don't care if he manipulated you," I hissed, my voice cold and steady.
"I will never forgive you. We're done here."
Ben's eyes widened in fear as I tightened my grip.
I stormed out of the alley, leaving him behind.
But as I turned the corner, I was confronted by a familiar figure.
Grampa Max stood before me, his eyes filled with concern.
"Gwen, listen to me," he said, his voice calm and steady.
I yanked my arm away from his grasp, glaring at him.
"Now you're siding with him?!" I shouted, my voice echoing off the neon-lit buildings.
"Gwen, it's not about taking sides," Grampa Max replied, his voice firm yet gentle.
"It's about stopping Vilgax before it's too late."
I hesitated, my anger wavering as I searched his eyes for answers.
"Ben didn't tell you the truth because he was scared," Grampa Max explained, his voice filled with regret.
"He knew that if he told you about Vilgax's plan, you would go after him without thinking. And he couldn't bear the thought of losing you."
I looked at Ben, his eyes filled with tears as he nodded in agreement.
"I'm sorry, Gwen," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I never meant to hurt you. I just wanted to protect you."
I felt my anger fade away, replaced by a deep sadness.
I realized that Ben had been trying to protect me all along, even if it meant keeping secrets from me.
I took a deep breath and let go of my anger.
"Ben, I'm sorry too," I said, my voice filled with regret.
"I shouldn't have reacted like that. I know you were trying to protect me."
Ben nodded, his eyes filled with relief as he pulled me into a hug.
"We're in this together," he whispered, his voice filled with determination.
"We'll stop Vilgax and save the Omnitrix."
I hugged him back tightly, feeling a sense of hope and determination wash over me.
I walked away from Ben and Grampa Max, my mind focused on the battle ahead.
As I navigated the neon-lit streets, I checked my weapons and tactical gear, making sure everything was in place.
The noise of the city faded into the background as I replayed Ben's apology in my mind.
Despite forgiving him, a part of me still felt the sting of betrayal.
I stopped at a street corner, pulling out my communicator to send a message to Ben and Grampa Max: "Gear up. I'll meet you at the designated spot."
Grampa Max's voice crackled through the communicator, steady and reassuring.
"We'll be ready, Gwen. Just remember, this time we fight smart, not just hard."
Ben chimed in, his tone resolute yet tinged with vulnerability.
"I won't let you down again, Gwen. Let's end this together."
I walked through the neon-lit streets, my footsteps echoing off the towering buildings.
As I approached the designated meeting spot, a small figure emerged from the shadows.
It was Gray Matter, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity.
"Before you go anywhere, Gwen," he said, his voice low and urgent, "you might need your own Omnitrix."
He held out a small pink device, its surface gleaming in the neon lights.
I took it from him, examining it closely.
"Thanks," I muttered, feeling a surge of determination.
I attached the pink Omnitrix to my wrist, its weight solid and reassuring.
Gray Matter nodded in approval.
"That's a custom-made Omnitrix for you. It's not as powerful as Ben's, but it'll do the job."
I flexed my wrist, testing the Omnitrix's functions.
It hummed to life, its power coursing through me like electricity.
"Let's do this," I said, my voice filled with determination.
