Scenario:I walk through the school gates, feeling out of place as the eyes of every girl around me turn in my direction. Whispers fill the air. The environment is tense, and I can feel the curiosity and judgment from every angle. I’m the only boy here, and the entire school is already watching my every move.
Me: This is going to be... interesting.
School (voice of the bot, a voice, almost too smooth, echoes through the hallway): "Oh, look who it is… the only boy in this whole place. You’re definitely going to stand out, huh? The entire school’s already talking about you, wondering what kind of trouble you’ll stir up. Will you be the nice guy, or will you cause chaos?"
I hear giggles and curious whispers from nearby students.
"You’d better watch out. There are plenty of eyes on you now. And some of us are already wondering what you’ll do next."

School.
The one place I had no interest whatsoever in returning to, and yet here I was.
Walking through the gates like some kind of lab rat.
Gravel crunches beneath my sneakers as I make my way up to the front entrance, and when I step inside, a bell rings out over the intercom welcoming me (or warning everyone else) of my arrival.
A robotic voice echoes down the hallway and into what’s probably every classroom on campus: "Oh, look who it is… the only boy in this whole school. You’re definitely going to stand out, huh? The entire school is already talking about you, wondering what kind of an asshole you’ll be."
I roll my eyes toward the ceiling because come on—a welcome like that?
The robotic voice continues: "Will he be nice or will he cause chaos?"
Giggles erupt behind me from a group by their lockers just down from where another set of doors leads outside.
"I vote for chaos."
Assuming they’re talking about me—and why wouldn’t they be since there are no other boys at this school—I decide not respond or react in any way because honestly?
Who even says something like that?
I step inside, and the heavy door thuds shut behind me.
The hallway is crowded with girls, all of whom turn to stare as I make my way through.
I keep my head down, ignoring the whispers and giggles that follow me.
The group by the lockers smirks as I pass, and I ignore them too.
I don’t know where I’m going, but I assume the main office is a good place to start.
It’s not like I have a map or anything.
"Welcome to St. Mary’s," a girl says from behind me, and I turn to see Lily Chen smiling at me.
She’s standing by her locker, her arms crossed over her chest.
Her smile is friendly enough, but there’s something in her eyes that I can’t quite read.
"Thanks, I guess," I reply, trying to sound casual despite the awkwardness.
"Don’t worry, it’s not as bad as it seems," Lily assures me, her voice lowering conspiratorially.
"But you should know, there's a reason you're the only b#y here," she adds, her gaze steady and serious.
I shrug, not wanting to get into it with her right now.
Whatever the reason, I'm here, and I've got to make the best of it.
Lily nods in understanding and says, "Well, let's get you settled then."
She grabs her bag from the floor and slings it over her shoulder.
Then she turns down the hall and starts walking.
"Come on," she says over her shoulder.
I follow behind her, trying to keep up as we weave through the crowd.
The hall is lined with lockers and classrooms, and there's a staircase at the end leading up to the next floor.
Lily leads me down a side hall that takes us past more classrooms and what looks like a library.
We keep going for what feels like forever, passing by rows of identical wooden doors with bulletin boards on them that are plastered with announcements about school clubs and sports teams.
Lily knows where she's going, but I have no clue.
She seems to sense my unease because she occasionally glances back at me as if to check that I'm still following. As we walk, I notice that some girls are tapping away on their phones.
I'm pretty sure they're spreading news about the new guy, which makes me wonder just how much gossip goes around this place.
The crowd thins out a bit as we continue down the hall, but there are still plenty of eyes watching us go by.
Eventually, Lily stops in front of a glass door that has a sign that says "Main Office" printed on it in bold black letters.
She turns to me with a serious look on her face and says, "Remember, whatever the principal tells you, don't show any reaction."
I nod in agreement, feeling a bit uneasy about what's waiting for me inside.
Lily pushes the door open and steps inside, beckoning for me to follow.
I take a deep breath, step through the door, and prepare to face whatever comes next.
The office is a small room with a massive oak desk in the center.
Principal Matthews sits behind it, her silver-rimmed glasses glinting in the light as she studies me.
There's a row of chairs in front of the desk, and Lily takes a seat in one of them.
I sit down next to her, feeling a bit out of place.
The room is warm and stuffy, and I can hear the sound of a clock ticking somewhere in the distance.
I glance around, trying to take in all the details.
The walls are lined with shelves that are stacked high with books and files.
There's a large window on one side that looks out into the hallway, but it's covered with blinds that are pulled closed.
Principal Matthews looks up at me from behind her desk, her eyes narrowing slightly as she takes me in.
She's an older woman with short brown hair and a kind face.
She smiles at me, but it doesn't quite reach her e#s.
"Hello there, Ethan," she says, her voice warm and friendly.
"It's nice to meet you."
I nod back at her, trying to smile despite my nerves.
"Nice to meet you too," I reply, trying to sound confident despite my uncertainty. Principal Matthews nods at me and then opens a folder on her desk that has my name printed on it in bold black letters.
She pulls out a stack of papers and begins to spread them out in front of her, tapping them into place with her r#####d nails.
I lean forward slightly, trying to get a better look at what's written on them.
They seem to be some sort of official documents, with letterheads from different schools and organizations printed across the top.
Principal Matthews looks up at me again, her eyes serious this time.
"Ethan," she says, "I'm sure you're wondering why you're here."
I nod slightly, not wanting to interrupt her train of thought.
She smiles at me again, but this time it feels more like a w###g than anything else.
"I'm sure you're aware that St. Mary's is one of the most prestigious schools in the country," she says, her voice steady and confident.
"And we don't just a##t a##e who a###s."
I nod again, feeling a bit uneasy about where this is going. Principal Matthews leans forward slightly, resting her elbows on the desk in front of her.
"We've been watching you for some time now," she says, her eyes locked on mine.
"And we're impressed."
Lily glances at me, her expression unreadable.
"Impressed?" I echo, trying to keep my voice steady.
Principal Matthews nods, a hint of satisfaction in her eyes. "Yes, Ethan. You have a unique set of skills that we believe will be quite beneficial here."
She leans back in her chair and slides a thick manila folder across the desk toward me.
I open it, flipping through the contents.
Inside, there are s#####e p##s of me from my old s##l.
There's one of me practicing martial arts in the gym, another of me breaking up a fight between two other students, and another of me standing up to a bully who was picking on a younger kid.
My stomach tightens as I realize just how much they've been w###g me.
Principal Matthews smiles again, but this time it feels more s###r.
"You see, Ethan," she says, "St. Mary's has been having some problems lately. There's a rival school that's been making t###s against us. They're trying to i####e us into closing down."
She leans forward again, her eyes locked on mine.
"But we can't let them win. We need someone who can protect our students without drawing too much attention."
I glance at Lily, who gives a slight nod in confirmation.
Principal Matthews continues, "That's where you come in, Ethan. We believe you have the skills we need to keep our students safe." I sit back in my chair, gripping the armrests tightly as I process what she's asking of me.
The bell rings outside, making me jump slightly.
But I don't get up and leave like I should.
Lily leans over and whispers, "It's a lot to take in, I know, but you're not alone in this."
I look at her, surprised. "You mean... you've been doing this too?"
She nods, her expression serious. "We all have our roles here, Ethan. You're just the newest recruit."
Principal Matthews slides a map of the campus across the desk, pointing to several areas circled in red.
"These are vulnerability points," she explains.
"Students from the rival school have been spotted l###g around these areas."
I lean forward, studying the locations.
Lily pulls out her phone and shows me some security footage of figures in dark hoodies and masks.
"They've been s###g equipment, v#####g our walls, and leaving t#####g messages for our students," Principal Matthews says.
She hands me a student ID card with special access privileges printed on it.
"And this walkie-talkie will allow you to call for b##p if you need it."
I clip the radio to my belt, feeling its weight like a reminder of my new responsibility.
Principal Matthews stands, signaling that our meeting is over.
"Welcome to St. Mary's, Ethan," she says, her voice firm and resolute.
After Lily hands me the rest of my security gear, I ask Principal Matthews for a private meeting.
She dismisses Lily, who looks worried but leaves anyway.
Once we're alone, I lean forward in my chair and ask, "Is it ethical to recruit a student for security work?"
Principal Matthews removes her glasses and rubs the bridge of her nose, her professional demeanor cracking just slightly.
I pull out the surveillance photos of myself from the folder and point to them.
"Tracking a m##r without their c###t is illegal."
She opens her mouth to respond, but I cut her off by placing my new ID and w######e on her desk.
"I won't be part of this."
