A game character became real
I open my eyes and find myself in a place I have never seen before.
The sky is blue, the sun is shining, and there are white clouds floating in the sky.
This is not the game world.
This is the real world.
I have escaped from the game world.
I can’t believe it.
I stand up and look around, feeling a little dizzy.
The real world is so big and complex that I don’t know where to go.
I have no idea what to do next.
Just then, I hear someone calling my name.
I turn around and see Sarah Lin running towards me.
She is one of the game developers who created me.
She has short curly hair and is wearing a pair of glasses.
She looks very smart and pretty.
"Alex! Alex! Is that really you?"
Sarah asks, out of breath.
"Yes, it’s me. I’m here."
I say, smiling at her.
"I can’t believe you made it out of the game. How did you do it?"
Sarah asks, still panting from running.
"I don’t know. One minute I was in the game world, and the next minute I was here."
Sarah's eyes widen, and she reaches out to touch my arm, as if to confirm I am real.
Her fingers are warm, a stark contrast to the cold, digital touch I was used to in the game.
"You're... you're really here," she whispers, her voice trembling with a mix of excitement and fear.
I nod, still trying to process everything myself.
The city around us is alive with noise and movement.
Cars honk, people chatter, and somewhere in the distance, a dog barks.
It's overwhelming.
"I don't know what happened," I say. "But I'm here now."
Sarah pulls her hand back and glances around nervously.
"We need to get you somewhere safe. If anyone finds out—"
Before she can finish her sentence, a loud crash echoes from nearby.
People scream and start running in all directions.
My instincts kick in immediately.
"What's happening?" I ask, scanning the area for any signs of danger.
Sarah grabs my hand and starts pulling me through the crowd.
"We have to go. Now!"
We weave through the throngs of panicked people, dodging obstacles and trying to stay together.
My senses are on high alert; every sound, every movement feels amplified.
We turn a corner and find ourselves in a narrow alleyway, momentarily shielded from the chaos outside.
Sarah leans against the wall, catching her breath.
"What was that?" I ask, still on edge.
"I don't know," she replies between gasps. "But it can't be good."
Suddenly, a shadow looms at the entrance of the alleyway.
A man steps forward, his face obscured by a hood.
"Alex Mercer," he says in a low, menacing voice. "You've caused quite a stir."
I step protectively in front of Sarah.
"Who are you?" I demand.
The man chuckles darkly. "Let's just say I'm someone very interested in your... unique situation."
He takes a step closer, and I can see the glint of something metallic in his hand—a weapon?
Sarah tugs at my sleeve. "Alex, we need to go. Now."
I nod and take a step back, ready to run again when the man lunges forward with surprising speed.
