I was hiding in the shadows, watching my son and his friends, when I saw her.

She was huge.

At least 100 feet tall.

I knew that height wasn't possible for a human.

No one could grow that tall.

It had to be magic.

I was stunned into silence, barely even breathing, as I watched her move through the small town where I lived with my husband and son.

She was careful not to damage anything, moving slowly and deliberately, as she moved from one side of town to the other.

She moved through the far end of town, away from my home, and into the woods beyond.

As soon as she was out of sight, I turned and ran back home.

My husband was still asleep on the couch, my son at her friends house.

I checked Jason's room first to be sure he was not there.

Then I went back to the living room and stood over my sleeping husband.

"Mark."

I said gently.

Mark looked up at me and then sat up on the couch, rubbing his eyes.

"What's wrong?"

He asked, looking around the room, as if expecting something to be happening here in our living room.

"I need to tell you something."

I said.

"What is it?"
