I was having a bad day.
It started when I woke up late.
I'm a light sleeper, so I usually wake up before my alarm goes off.
Today, however, I slept right through it.
When I rolled over to turn the alarm off, I saw that I was almost an hour late getting up.
I rushed through my morning routine, but still ended up being late for work.
That wouldn't have been so bad, except that today was Friday, and my husband had made plans for us to go out for dinner and a show.
We were supposed to meet at 6:00.
Now, I would be lucky to make it at 7:00.
To top it all off, it was raining.
It wasn't just raining; it was pouring.
