I met her in a bar, of all places.
I was on a mission to find other gems, after all I had been stuck on this planet for God knows how long and I was sick of being alone.
I had tried asking around, but no one seemed to know anything about aliens or magic, so I had turned to the bars.
I figured if I told enough people what I was looking for, eventually someone would know something.
I was half right.
As it turned out, I didn't need to tell anyone what I was looking for, I just needed to be in the right place at the right time.
I was sitting at the bar, sipping a beer and telling the bartender about my gem when I heard the laughter.
At first, I thought it was just someone laughing at a joke, but then I heard it again and knew that it was different from regular laughter.
It was more of a giggle, but not quite that either.
