the spongebob series finale is the last episode, spongebob feels like moving back with his parents because his life isn't going so bright. at the end of the episode, spongebob stays in bikini bottom for now, is now the new manager of the krusty krab 3, now made friends with plankton, squidward is now nice to him, and now entire bikini bottom is his friend. but it still doesn't end there: at the theatre, a play is about to begin and the entire cast sings the spongebob squarepants theme song. after that, everyone cheers and sandy walks up to spongebob, and the 2 kiss, leaving in a happy ending.
