My name is Jason Miller, and up until recently, I was your typical couch potato.
I was overweight, out of shape, and had no desire to change it.
I was perfectly content with my life of sitting on the couch, watching TV, and eating whatever I wanted.
That all changed one day when I had a health scare.
It wasn’t much, but it was enough to wake me up and make me realize that I needed to change things.
I didn’t want to be a ‘couch potato’ anymore.
I wanted to get in shape, feel healthy, and see what my body was capable of.
I started slow.
At first, I could barely walk around the block without needing to stop and catch my breath.
Every step was a struggle, and my lungs felt like they were on fire.
It didn’t take long for my body to adjust, though, and soon I was able to walk several blocks with ease.
Once I felt comfortable walking, I decided it was time to move on to the next step: jogging.
The first time I tried to jog, I only made it about 50 steps before I needed to stop.
My lungs felt like they would explode at any moment.
It took every bit of willpower I had to not give up right there and admit that I would never be able to do this.
I kept at it, though.
