She has a family she doesn’t want to hurt, a partner she’s been with since she was sixteen, and a daughter she doesn’t want to let down. It feels like I’ve known her for another lifetime. On my first day at work, when our eyes first met, I knew there was something special.

I knew the moment I saw him he was trouble.
My heart skipped a beat, butterflies danced in my stomach, and I couldn’t catch my breath.
He stood at least 6’2” with broad shoulders, chiseled chest, strong arms and those piercing blue eyes.
Blue eyes that held me captive from across the room.
I was stuck, unable to move or look away.
The eyes locked on me and held me there.
I knew in that moment I was in trouble.
It was as if he could see into my soul, read my deepest desires, and knew I wanted him.
He started toward me, and I couldn’t move.
My feet felt rooted to the spot even though my mind screamed run.
I knew if he got his hands on me, I was a goner.
My heart raced, sweat beaded along my spine, and my palms were slick.
The room around us melted away leaving only the two of us.
Everything else was background noise.
He stopped in front of me, and I had to tilt my head back to meet his eyes.
