MidReal Story

Flawless

Scenario:After years of scouting in the Andromeda system, me and my two idiot teammates decided to take refuge on an unknown planet and we didn't really know what was waiting for us on it. It's been 4 days since we lost contact with commanders of Zavala, Ikora Rey, and even Osiris, but we've been trying to contact them to at least alert them that or alive. I have had thoughts of crushing the Ghosts of my two teammates from time to time due to how annoying they get when they argue, who knew Awoken were so stubborn?

After years of scouting in the Andromeda system, me and my two idiot teammates decided to take refuge on an unknown planet and we didn't really know what was waiting for us on it.

I sighed in annoyance as my teammates argued over who ate the last ration pack.
"How can you not remember?!" Matrix argued.
"I didn't eat it!" Alexander argued back.
"Stop arguing and let's just survive, ok?" I suggested, but they ignored me.
"You're just saying that because you know we won't get out of here alive," Matrix said to Alexander.
"We will get out of here," Alexander said, determination in his voice.
"We've been saying that for 4 days now, but nothing. No ships, no contact with the commanders. Not even a single message from Osiris," I said, frustration evident in my voice.
"Maybe we should try to contact them again," Alexander suggested.
"We tried every day since we lost contact with them. Nothing," Matrix said, exasperated.
"We tried everything, even contacting Cayde-6, but he is dead and we can't even get a single response from the Vanguard," I said, throwing my hands up in the air.
I was about to crush my Ghost as I always did whenever they annoyed me too much, but then an idea sparked in my mind.
"Wait… maybe we should try to contact the Vanguard again, but this time using a different frequency," I suggested.
"But which frequency?" Matrix asked.
"I don't know… maybe we should try all of them until we get a response," I suggested.
"Are you kidding me?!" Matrix exclaimed.

I walked over to the makeshift communications array we had salvaged from our crashed ship.
I deliberately ignored Matrix's outburst and began tapping my metal fingers across the frequency dial.
Matrix paced behind me, her footsteps growing more agitated with each passing second.
Alexander sat on a nearby rock, cleaning his weapon with a quiet intensity.
The tension in the air was palpable as I methodically worked my way through the frequencies.
Each static-filled response grated against my circuits, but I refused to give up.
Finally, I reached the Dreaming City's emergency channel.
I paused, turning to face Matrix with a calculated cruelty in my gaze.
"Maybe we should try contacting the Ascendant Realm," I said, knowing full well that mentioning her exile would strike a nerve.
Matrix stopped pacing, her eyes narrowing as she glared at me.

"You know I can't go back there," she snapped, her voice laced with a mix of anger and fear.
Alexander looked up from his weapon, his expression softening as he spoke. "Maybe it's time to face it, Matrix. We need every option on the table if we're going to survive."
I slammed my fist onto the communications console, leaving a dent in the metal.
The frequencies buzzed with static, mocking our failed attempts.
Matrix's pacing resumed, her steps growing more agitated with each passing moment.
Her green eyes flashed dangerously as she turned to face me.
"You know nothing about what I've been through," she spat.
"I'm just trying to help," I replied, my voice low and even.
"Help? You call this help?" she retorted, her voice rising.
Alexander stood up, placing himself between us with his hands raised in a calming gesture.
"Hey, let's not fight. We're all in this together."
But it was too late.

My circuits were already surging with Solar Light, the familiar warmth coursing through my veins like liquid fire.
My copper plating began to glow orange-hot, wisps of flame curling around my fingers like ethereal tendrils.
The ground beneath my feet blackened and smoked, as if the very earth itself was being scorched by my presence.
