I was sprawled out on the floor of my bedroom playing with some loose change when my mother's scream pierced the air.
It was a sound I had become all too familiar with over the past few months.
I immediately stopped playing and listened intently for any sounds that would indicate what was happening.
My mother screamed again, this time, it was obvious that she was at the end of the hall near the bathroom.
I then heard a loud crash, which sounded like one of the bathroom cabinets being knocked off the wall.
I looked up and saw both of my siblings, Sarah and Mark, staring into my bedroom from the hallway.
Sarah was a year older than me at 13 and had long blonde hair and blue eyes.
Mark was 14 and had short black hair and brown eyes.
Both of them looked worried.
