Twenty years ago, the City of the New Jerusalem Church was founded in a city where nobody seemed to care about others.
The church's first ministry was in a homeless neighborhood, and it was there that they started their first music ministry, singing to the homeless and spreading God's word.
At first, they were mocked and laughed at, but they didn't give up.
They kept singing until they were able to buy a small van and drive around the city, spreading God's message.
Years later, they were able to form a band called the Soldiers of Righteousness.
The Soldiers of Righteousness was led by Deacon Joe Pieterson, who wrote all of the songs.
Martin Vasin managed the group, while Pastor Joseph, the founder of the City of the New Jerusalem Church, played the drums alongside Deacon Joe.
The rest of the band members were made up of church members who had a passion for music.
As time went on, they were able to tour different parts of the country, spreading God's word and feeding the homeless.
It was truly a beautiful sight to see, as hundreds of people would gather to watch them perform while also being fed.
Their music touched hearts and minds, and soon they had a huge following.
People would come from all over just to see them perform and hear Deacon Joe's words of love and redemption.
The Soldiers of Righteousness were known for wearing colorful suits that matched the colors of Skittles.
Each member wore a different color: orange, grape, lemon, lime, and cherry.
Skittles And The Soldiers Of Righteousness
I sit alone in the church's dimly lit sanctuary, my orange Skittles suit wrinkled and stained from the earlier confrontation.
The weight of my actions hangs heavy on my shoulders, and I can't shake the feeling of guilt that gnaws at me.
As I sit there, lost in thought, I hear footsteps approaching.
It's Deacon Joe, his face stern but composed as he makes his way down the aisle towards me.
He stops in front of me, his eyes searching mine for answers.
I look away, unable to meet his gaze.
Deacon Joe takes a seat next to me on the wooden pew, placing his worn Bible between us.
The silence stretches out, thick and heavy with unspoken words.
Finally, I can't bear it any longer.
I reach out a trembling hand to touch the Bible, but Deacon Joe gently pulls it away from me. "Actions speak louder than words," he says quietly, his voice filled with disappointment and sadness.

I know that he's right.
I can't just sit here and pretend like everything is okay when it's not.
I have to take responsibility for my actions and make things right.
I stand up from the pew, smoothing out my suit and trying to look presentable despite the stains.
Deacon Joe watches me with a curious expression, but he doesn't say anything.
I turn and walk away from him, heading towards the church office.
I know that I have a lot of work to do to make things right, but I'm determined to start by helping with the concert tonight.
As I enter the office, I see Martin Vasin sitting at his desk, surrounded by stacks of sheet music and concert programs.
He looks up when he sees me come in and raises an eyebrow in surprise.
"Can I help you?" he asks gruffly.
I take a deep breath and explain what happened with Deacon Joe.
Martin listens intently, his expression growing more serious with each passing moment.
When I finish speaking, he nods thoughtfully. "I see," he says slowly.

"Well, if you want to make things right, then you can start by helping us set up for the concert tonight."
I nod eagerly, grateful for the opportunity to prove myself.
Martin hands me a stack of papers and equipment lists, gesturing for me to take a seat at his desk.
"This is everything we need to get ready for tonight," he explains.
"Just go through it all and make sure that we have everything accounted for."
I nod again and sit down at the desk, beginning to sort through the papers and check off each item on the list.
It's tedious work, but I'm determined to get it done as quickly as possible. As I work, Tori comes into the office carrying her guitar case.
She sees me sitting at Martin's desk and raises an eyebrow in surprise.
"What are you doing here?" she asks curiously.
I explain what happened with Deacon Joe and how I'm trying to make things right by helping with the concert setup.
Skittles And The Soldiers Of Righteousness
Tori nods thoughtfully and sets down her guitar case next to mine on the floor.
"Okay," she says softly.
"I'll help you too."
Together, we work through the list of equipment and supplies needed for the concert.
As we review the lists, I notice that there are some discrepancies in our sheet music.
Some of the pages are missing, and others have strange notes scribbled in the margins.
I point this out to Tori, and she frowns in confusion.
"Maybe someone accidentally grabbed the wrong sheets," she suggests.
"But we should double-check just to be sure."
We start digging through the boxes of concert materials, searching for any missing pages or clues as to what happened.
As we search, I notice that there are some torn fragments of paper mixed in with the promotional flyers and other materials.
I pick one up and examine it closely, trying to figure out where it came from.
Tori notices my interest and comes over to take a look.
She picks up the crumpled page and smooths it out on her lap, studying it intently. "This is definitely one of our songs," she says softly.
Skittles And The Soldiers Of Righteousness
"But look at these lyrics... they're not right."
I lean in closer to examine the page more closely.
The handwriting is unfamiliar, but the words themselves are definitely not part of any song that I've ever heard before.
My heart starts racing as I realize that someone must have been tampering with our music.
But who?
And why?
I grab my phone from my pocket and quickly dial Martin's number, hoping that he'll be able to shed some light on what's going on.
But before I can even get a word out, Tori grabs my arm and pulls me away from the desk.
She motions for me to follow her, leading me towards the office window. As we approach the window, I see that there are muddy footprints leading from the outside into the office.
They trail across the floor and end at a nearby file cabinet.
Tori points at the footprints silently, her eyes wide with fear and confusion.
I feel a chill run down my spine as I realize that someone must have broken into our office while we were busy preparing for the concert.
But who?
And what do they want?
I glance back at Martin's desk, where he's still sitting oblivious to everything that's happening around him.
I want to warn him about what we've found, but Tori shakes her head firmly and pulls me towards the door instead.
She quietly closes it behind us and locks it from the outside before turning to face me. "We need to get out of here," she whispers urgently.
"Now."
"Why?" I ask, my voice barely above a whisper.
Tori glances back at the office door, her expression tense. "Because whoever messed with our music might still be here, and I don't want to find out what else they're planning."
Skittles And The Soldiers Of Righteousness
I nod, feeling the urgency in her words, and we start moving quickly down the hallway, our footsteps echoing in the silence.
