I'm in love.

I know it's possible to love more than one person at a time.

I love my mom and dad.

I love my dog Max.

I love playing soccer with my friends.

I love video games, especially Minecraft.

I even love pizza (who doesn't?).

But this is different.

It's a different kind of love.

It's the kind of love that makes my stomach hurt, but in a good way.

It's the kind of love that makes me want to sing.

It's the kind of love that makes me feel like I'm on fire, but the flames put out any fear or doubt I might have had.

This is the kind of love that consumes every part of me.

Every cell in my body is in love.

My heart, lungs, brain, liver, kidneys, stomach, spleen, pancreas, intestines, skin, muscles, and bones are all in love.

When I was five years old, I didn't know what this kind of love was called.

Now that I'm nine, I still don't know what to call it.

All I know is that I'm in love with Lucas Green.

Lucas and I have been friends since kindergarten.

We met on our first day of school.

We sat next to each other at circle time and introduced ourselves.

He was taller than me and had curly blonde hair.
