Scenario:A fake dating story

I was down to my last two dollars when I ran into Lucas.
It was after five, so the odds of him being at his office were high.
I took the elevator to the top floor and walked through the quiet hallways of Reed Industries.
The tech giant had made his fortune inventing and acquiring, and his latest venture was about to launch in a week’s time.
I stopped in front of his office, and his assistant looked up from her desk.
"Emily!"
She smiled.
"Go right in."
Lucas’s office was enormous, with windows giving a bird’s-eye view of the city.
He sat at his desk, typing something on his computer.
My smile faltered when he looked up and scowled.
"What are you doing here?"
"I’m looking for a job."
He raised an eyebrow.
"A job? Doing what?"
I shrugged.
"Anything. I’ll even get coffee if you need me to."
His expression turned skeptical.
"You ran out of money that fast?"
"I have two dollars left. Actually, one dollar and fifty-seven cents. I had to take the bus here, so that’s fifty cents gone already."
"Why didn’t you just call me?"
"I didn’t want to bother you."
"You’re not a bother. I’d have sent a car."
"Well, I didn’t think of that."
He sighed.
"Sit down."
I did, feeling immediately out of place in the luxurious office.
The leather chair was so soft it felt like sinking into a cloud.
I grasped Lucas's outstretched hand, sealing the deal with a firm handshake. His grip was strong, but not crushing, and I felt a spark of electricity as our palms touched.
As we released each other's hands, I couldn't help but notice the way his eyes crinkled at the corners, a hint of amusement dancing in their depths. I felt a flutter in my chest, which I promptly ignored. This was a business arrangement, after all.
"Great," Lucas said, leaning forward in his chair. "Let's get started then. I'll show you to your new workstation."
He stood up, towering over me even in my heels. I followed him out of his office, trying to keep up with his long strides as we navigated the maze of cubicles. The hum of technology grew louder, and the air was thick with the scent of fresh coffee and ozone.
We stopped in front of a sleek, silver desk, adorned with a state-of-the-art computer and a tidy stack of files. A small placard on the edge of the desk read "Personal Assistant to Lucas Reed".
"Welcome to your new home," Lucas said, gesturing to the chair.
I sat down, feeling a sense of trepidation mixed with excitement. This was it – my chance to prove myself and turn my life around.
Lucas handed me a thin folder filled with documents and notes. "This is the project brief for our new venture. I need you to familiarize yourself with the details and be ready to assist me at the launch event next week."
I nodded, flipping through the pages as he spoke. The words blurred together, but I was determined to learn quickly.
Just as I was about to ask a question, Lucas's phone buzzed on his desk. He glanced at the screen and frowned.
"I have to take this," he said, already turning away. "Get settled in, Emily. We'll catch up later."
I watched as he strode back to his office, feeling a sense of uncertainty wash over me. What had I just gotten myself into?
