fellow vampire and friend to Stephane, muscular build with sharp features, loyal and secretive.

human, in love with Stephane, petite with curly hair, brave and curious.

vampire, in love with Nina, tall with piercing eyes, mysterious and protective.

I remember the first time I saw her.

She was sitting in the café, reading a book.

Her hair was curly and brown, and she had on glasses.

When our eyes met, she blushed and looked back to her book.

I wanted to go over and talk to her, but I couldn't.

Not yet.

So I sat there and watched her from across the room, wishing I could be brave enough to talk to her.

As soon as she left, I went over and sat in her chair.

When I breathed in, I could smell her, but not just her scent, my mate's scent.

Marcus came over and sat down across from me.

"Do you know who that is?"

"No""Her name is Nina. She comes in here almost every day."

Marcus knew almost everyone that came into the café, being one of the owners and all.

He also knew that I was looking for my mate, so he told me what he knew about her.

Over the next few weeks, I watched her from afar.
