Amber's mean older sister who holds a key to her freedom unknowingly, relationship with Amber and CJ Hook, manipulative and cruel.

Ella Hook

Amber's busy mother who is often absent, relationship with Amber and other family members, caring but distant.

I sat in my room, tears streaming down my face.

My father hated me.

My mother Ella was busy, as always.

And my sisters Jamie and CJ were mean to me.

I felt like I was going crazy.

I needed to get away before I lost my mind.

I stared out of the window at the sunset deck of our shipwreck home.

The sea was calm and peaceful with a few sailboats drifting across it.

The sky was painted with hues of orange, pink and purple.

It was breathtakingly beautiful, a true work of art.

I longed to be on one of those boats sailing across the water.

I longed for freedom.

As I sat there daydreaming, staring at the sea, I noticed something odd.

There was a piece of wood sticking out from the wall.

It looked like a small door.

I got up and walked over to it.
