I was rummaging through the attic of my family's old house when I stumbled upon a peculiar red gem.
It was an emerald, but not like any I had ever seen before.
Most emeralds have a bluish tint, but this one had none.
It sparkled and shined, radiating an otherworldly energy.
Without thinking I reached out and grasped the gem.
The moment my skin made contact with it I felt a sudden jolt of electricity run through my body.
It was as if the gem had come to life in my hand.
Suddenly I was bombarded with visions of the past and future.
I saw an ancient civilization that had long since been forgotten.
I saw how they worshiped this very gem as a deity, calling it the 'Heart of Power'.
I saw how it granted them incredible abilities beyond that of a normal human.
I also saw glimpses of my own future.
I saw myself standing tall and proud, with the power to move objects with my mind.
