Schoolgirl's Dad (full name unknown)
Missy (full name unknown)
It was a hot and muggy day, and I was in no mood to be following some schoolgirl around.
But what could I do, when the founder of our clan had left an order specifically stating that I was to follow her?
My hands were tied--this was a matter of loyalty to the clan.
It was just my luck that she had to be a schoolgirl, too!
My impression of her was that of a petite, charming girl, but I wasn’t too sure.
I had only seen her from afar as she walked into the school gates.
I had never once thought that this girl would be my follower, and so I had been quite surprised when I received the order.
The order mentioned that this schoolgirl would be living in Songshan City for a period of time, and I was to follow her during her stay.
The purpose of this mission was entirely unknown to me, and I had been left feeling both curious and disdainful about the whole thing.
I hadn’t expected the little girl to have any capabilities, either.
If she did, she wouldn’t have needed me to follow her, right?
But the order was there, and I could not bring myself to ignore it.
The others in our clan all had their own missions to attend to--it was clear that I had been given this mission because it was deemed easiest for me due to my profound strength and capabilities!
My mission was clear: I needed to follow the little girl living in Songshan City.
And so I went--how could one possibly refuse an order from the founder of your own clan?
It was already noon when I arrived at the little girl’s school, and so she came out not long after.
She looked at me with an indifferent stare as she asked in a low voice: “Are you here for me?”
I sized up the petite girl before me, feeling rather conflicted about the whole affair.
I did not want to accept this mission at all!
But I had no choice in the matter; the order from my ancestor was clear, and I couldn’t simply refuse it because I didn’t want to follow some schoolgirl around!
So even though my heart was full of reluctance, I nodded my head anyway.
The little girl’s eyes brightened up as she handed me a photograph.
“Let’s go, then,” she said with a smile as she looked at me in anticipation, “Take me to where I need to go, follower!”
And that was how I ended up being a follower to a schoolgirl, with a photograph in my hand to boot!
I had no idea what I was going to do with her, but I would have to find out sooner or later, right?
The journey was long, and it was already evening by the time we arrived at our destination.
As we reached the front of a typical Chinese medicine store, I turned back to look at her in confusion: “This is the place you wanted to come?”
The little girl responded with an “Mm” as she took back the photograph from me.
She looked at it before looking back up at me with a smile: “Thank you for taking me here.”
And that was how I started following her around like a fool, led by nothing but an ancient order!
